Cationic conditioning

"This is great if you'd like a silky soft feeling left on the skin. It makes great conditioners, lotions, and if you add just a bit to your anhydrous balms it makes them feel amazing on the skin!"

Super Thick Emulsion!!

"I used this wax for the first time making one of my lotion recipes that is tried and true. And let me tell you. . . it almost instantly thickened from the time I poured my hot liquids into my hot oils! Even before I started blending! At 140 degrees! I use a very small amount of Shea butter in my lotion, not sure if that was a factor. I suggest use a preservative with a high flashpoint. Makes for longer workability, the more it cools down the thicker it gets! Learned that the hard way! Lol. . . However this ewax delivered as promised a thick, creamy, smooth lotion that feels quite light. I packaged in jars which was optimal. Can't wait to try it in my sugar scrubs!"

Q&A

What is the difference between the BTMS 25 and Emulsifying Wax-Hair and Beard? The ingredients and percentages on the SDS appear to be the exact same.
BTMS-25 consists of 25% Behentrimonium Methosulfate and 75% Cetearyl Alcohol (derived from rapeseed). These products have the same ingredients but different suppliers; they will perform similarly.
Probably a dumb question, but can I use this product in place of cetearyl alcohol, or is there not enough cetearyl alcohol in it?
You can, but the consistency of the finished product may be thinner.
Hi there,I'm planning on making a facial moisturizer for acne prone, oily skin. I was wondering if this emulsifier could be used alone or if it would need a co-emulsifier like Cetyl alcohol? Thanks!
It can be used on its own.
Can this be used in place if btms50? Should i add another emulsifier?
Yes, this can be used in place of BTMS 50, just note the consistencies and after feel will change slightly.
How much would i need for 8oz of shampoo/conditioner
This should only be added to shampoo and conditioner from scratch, not a base. It can be used anywhere from 1-10%, depending on your formulation.
