My favorite mold

"I generally use silicone loafs, but this is my favorite mold! I use it primarily for those bits of leftover batter to use as samples. I fill just to the first indentation to make a flat disk about 1/2 thick. The perfect size for someone to try my soap at very little expense. I have also used it filled as designed to make some guest soaps as a custom order. They are very pretty and a nice chunky size. The trick with the Milky Way molds is to be patient before removing! I use Sodium Lactate, and then put it the freezer for a few hours. I run some water over back, turn it upside down on th counter, and the soaps pop out."

"Great Starter Kit. I bought this kit to try and see if it would sell, WOW can not believe how wonderful it is can not keep it in stock. Everyone who has tried it loves the way it cleans the skin and feels afterwards. My skin has never felt so clean and after using for only two weeks I have gotten so many compliments on my skin. Can I use volcanic pumice powder instead of carrot powder?: Hello - we have not tested that. Feel free to test and leave that information on our reviews!
Approximately how long is the shelf life of this product? Meaning how long will it last before it goes bad or molds? If you add an essential oil to it, like grapefruit essential oil, how much can be added to be safe? If adding an essential oil, what is the amount that can be added before needing to add more preservative? And, if a preservative is needed, what preservative would you recommend?: We recommend 1 year after making. After that, you can test the product to see if it looks, smells & performs the same. The base used in this kit is already preserved, but if any more than 1% fragrance is added it would require additional preservation. We would only recommend using a small amount of EO anyways, since it is for the face. Start with 0.5%.
Can the facial cleanser and Polish kit be used as a body polish instead? If so, what needs to be added/ subtracted just to make it a body polish only?: You can use this as a body polish with no changes or substitutions.
I followed the instructions but once it got time to add the carrot powder and small amount of soap to the larger portions, I have just a bunch of bubbles or at least more than what I imagined. I know this is a suspension liquid so Im wondering how much "unbubbling" will happen?: This is pretty typical for this base. You can see in the picture of suspension base that bubbles are natural part of this product and don't really go away.
can I used the 5oz airless bottle, that is what I have on hand??: This should be fine to use in that type of bottle, however some scrubs tend to get stuck in airless bottles so we cannot say for sure as we have not tested this.
