Cold Process Soap Test Results:

We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"I love this fragrance but I've noticed once you apply on the skin it completely changes to an unpleasant smell. The scent then seems to evaporate and your left with a very subtle scent that is not bad but not the original either. I've used it in body butter and lotion. I also used it in foaming soap and it is fine with this product. Any suggestions on preventing this from occurring?"

"Not for use in cold process soap"

COMMENTS: I have a nice smelling batch of dark tan soap that looks like asphalt gone bad. If you intend to use this fragrance in cold process soap be prepared with a non-accelerating recipe. It speeds trace dramatically and increases the temperature of your soap quite a bit too. Good Luck!

"Sweet & clean"

COMMENTS: I made 2 lb. Loaf of soap using crafter's choice detergent free triple butter m&p. Not one issue. Handled colouring just fine and fragrance is sweet and clean. I also made a 3 lb batch of thick lotion with no issues and smells wonderful! Like sweet pears but not too sweet. Just right.

COMMENTS: I bought this on a whim hoping to get a nice pear fragrance oil but this was really not what I was expecting. Its not bad, don’t get me wrong, it actually smells pretty good but its not the notes I was looking for. I would rather have gotten a pure pear FO instead. I get too much of the cashmere scent rather than the pear straight out the bottle. I will have to see how it turns out on my soaps.

"Smells fabulous but seized"

COMMENTS: First, let me say that I absolutely love this scent. I purchased a small 4 oz bottle when I visited the showroom as a tester and immediately had visions of how I was going to use it in a CP soap batch! After carefully planning and designing; today was the day! However, after adding the FO I got one short burst from my stick blender and 1/2 a spin on manual stir before it starting seizing up! So sad! But I won't give up on this fragrance, I'll just use it in my other products

"Work quickly with this one"

COMMENTS: Used in CP, smells absolutely beautiful. Just like a sweet pear. Love, love, love the scent. However, Accelerated with 2 minutes of mixing. Wasn't able to see out my vision of the bar and had to cover the gloppy mess of a topping with green and yellow splashes of mica in an attempt to salvage the design. Will order again o try in MP instead, definitely want to move forward with the scent in other products. Just won't use in CP unless its one or 2 colors tops.

"Our second best seller!"

COMMENTS: Oatmeal and honey is #1, this is a close second. Our customers are addicted to it and would most likely start to riot if we ever discontinued it, so please always have it. One thing I did notice, the last one I purchased it was a lot darker in color and I had to adjust the colorant we had used before but no one seemed to notice.

"Everyone LOVES this fragrance"

COMMENTS: This fragrance just smells awesome, so tried in several products. First, a whipped sugar scrub. OH MY! This has been a hit. The lotion and body spray were just as awesome. I forgot to use any VCS in the bath bomb and it has left brown spots on them. I used this in a soy candle and the wax around the tin has turned brown. Don't believe you can use anything to combat the vanilla in a candle. Would just have to try and color the wax a dark color. (I tried a light green). This is NOT good in CP Soap. It accelerated trace and I almost lost the whole batch. All in all, it is a fragrance that EVERYONE LOVES!!

"Great Fragrance If You Know When to Use it"

COMMENTS: I love this fragrance, but I am limited with what technique I use when making soap. It didn't work in cold process or CPOP . The soap batter set really quickly and separated in the mold. I had to rebatch the soap. It worked beautifully in hot process soap. I'm thinking the PH level affects this fragrance. In hot process soap I would recommend to add the fragrance first then add your sodium lactate or yogurt to loosen the batter.

COMMENTS: So this is another that took a little while before I was sure if I liked it... one of those, I'm trying to decide if I love it or not, as I can't stop sticking my nose in the cured candle! I set it out to test the throw, and it's amazing... and I decided I loved the way my room smelled. Every chance I get, I take the opportunity to pick this one up and take it in! It's not an out-there pear, but very classy-fruity smell and well-rounded- and the musk is light, but perfect. I switched from Pear Glace, not at all comparable, and some customers like this fragrance while others say they miss the old. What to do when I prefer this fragrance over Pear Glace?!?

COMMENTS: This fragrance oil smells absolutely amazing! I tried it in a slow moving recipe. It didn't seize but it separated in the mold, oils were everywhere! I hot processed it and saved the batch. I would purchase this again but would use it for something besides CP. Very nice scent and it is holding strong in the soap.

COMMENTS: This is one of my favorites! The scent is very gender nuetral...I use it alone and with the oatmeal stout fragrance to make it a little more masculine. Holds up great in soap and lotion.

"SEIZES IMMEDIATELY"

COMMENTS: I made two batches of cold process soap using this fragrance. The first batch seized immediately. Thinking that I did something wrong I went ahead and made a second batch soaping at a lower temperature being careful to hand mix the fragrance. Once again the batch immediately seized! What a waste of my money and time. Yes, this product smells wonderful, but it's just not worth it!

"Seized the soap and morphed color"

COMMENTS: I really loooove the smell of this so I was very excited to use this in my CP soap. It morphed the colors an awful lot and totally seized the soap. Other than that I really love it.

"I love this aroma"

COMMENTS: I love this scent. The pear seems to be the dominant note however there seems to be a balance. I didn't notice until afterwards it has a tiny amount of vanilla but I will order again.

COMMENTS: I got this FO as a sample bottle with an order, and wasn't expecting much... boy was I wrong! This is delicious! I didn't have enough to use with any of my cold process soaps, but I sure used it with some glycerin embeds and was stunned at how juicy and yummy this is. I will be getting me a nice 4oz bottle of this to play with in cold process soap :-)

"Cashmere & Pear in Cold Process Soap"

COMMENTS: This fragrance is amazing! I love this in body butter, salt scrubs, etc. I wanted to create a basket with Cashmere & Pear fragranced products so I tried using this in CP soap. This brought soap from a very thin trace to an almost gel mixture in a matter of seconds that I had to stick blend alot in order to pour into mold. Temperature of lye/oil mixture was slightly above room temperature. I am waiting to unmold and see how it turned out because it was difficult to use in CP. This fragrance, though, is so wonderful that if the CP didn't work, I will crease a MP soap using this fragrance and will continue to keep it as one of my primary fragrance offerings

	"Mmmmmmmm! One of my very favorite!"
COMMENTS: This was one of the first fragrances that I bought from WSP and I find that I just keep going back to it. It is clean and lightly fruity. It smells sweet but is not overpowering at all. This is my choice whenever I am crafting a soap with several colors and shapes because it just fits with them all.

"Delicious Scent!"

COMMENTS: I tried this fragrance with my African Neem Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. Blended wonderfully! Instead of disguising the strong smell of the Neem Oil, it sweetened and freshened the scent. I'm truly amazed and extremely happy with the finished product!

"Very sophisticated "

COMMENTS: Used in CP soap. Scent faded a bit, but I was testing the change of scent more than the strength. I can always make it stronger. This is a light scent that doesn't smell to "heavy" or "syrupy". No D or A in CP soap.

"This fragrance smells devine!"

COMMENTS: I have just received this scent. I gave it a 5 star because it smells devine. I am going to do a one pound batch in cp to see how it soaps. It has vanilla so I expect a discolor. I will post my findings.
