Soft cashmere and jasmine are lightly wrapped in the deep notes of light woods, amber, patchouli and musk.

Cold Process Soap Test Results:

We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"Lovely scent"

COMMENTS: I used this to make body wash and I'm very pleased. I normally prefer single note scents for body wash, but I made this for my daughter and it is really lovely. Very feminine with a complex scent profile that's not overpowering. It's rather light, but layered. If a beautiful soft pink cashmere sweater had a scent, this would be it.

"Nice, but not quite for me. "

COMMENTS: There are a few key words when browsing for new FO's to try that will have me clicking, "Add to Cart" without a second thought... Those are "tonka", "Tobacco" "oakmoss" & "cashmere"... Admittedly, I am a sucker for anything with these fragrance notes, so when I saw this FO & the word "cashmere", I was sold! In full honesty however, when I smelled this OOB, it just didn't curl my toes. I debated for awhile whether to soap with it or not, but in my years of soapmaking I've realized a few things: Sometimes what doesn't curl your toes OOB can absolutely do so in application, and in truthful observation, of bars I've saved from batches made years ago, a good majority of the the ones that are still beautifully fragrant are those made with Crafter's Choice fragrances! Knowing how scents can blossom & having very good long-term results with the FO's here, I decided I'd go ahead and give this one a try in CP. It behaved EXCELLENT in my recipe, and discolored to a warm & cozy shade of light, golden brown. In my fully cured bars, the scent doesn't scream, "Here I am!", but it has still maintained a fragrant presence. It's a scent that's been favored by those who prefer less potent aromas in their soaps, which don't overwhelm or compete with their cologne. Not the best of sellers for me, but I have had a few gentlemen enjoy the soaps, and I also find it to be more so a masculine scent. I don't think I'd purchase this again, as on a strictly personal level, it still doesn't "wow" me, but for those interested, please don't allow my personal preferences to sway you... It IS a nice scent, behaved very well, has good longevity, and has appealed to others. Sadly, it just hasn't sold that well in my area, but that could be an entirely different story elsewhere. I wasn't disappointed with this FO by any means, it's just that on my personal quest for toe-curling aromas, there are MANY others here that definitely do just that, and those which I prefer more.

"Pepper undertone "

COMMENTS: This is another bottle that smells nothing like the reviews. I was looking for a nice musk addition to my scents. Too overpowering, pepper-like undertones make it unbearable.

WSP Response:

These are full strength oils. I would suggest using a smaller amount so it is not as strong in your formula.

"Love this Scent"

COMMENTS: I love this scent, I don’t even want to share this scent with anyone, because it’s the scent I like to wear and be identified with. It’s soft, a little amber/musk, but not overpowering. I always have people stop me and ask what perfume I have on.

"oh wow!"

COMMENTS: customers love this rich/high end fragrance - it sells well gave me no issues in soap recipe I've used it in our entire line and love it. OOB is a bit strong - sniff lightly :) I found it trial and error trying to decide how much to use in diff. products but it all worked out and I'm happy to say the products sell. Not everyone's fave but very nice. A keeper. Soft, warm, romantic.

"My house smells SOOO nice!"

COMMENTS: I got this as one of the "free samples" when I made a big order. Just sounded nice. When it arrived, I was in heaven!! Unfortunately, I never got to use it (at least not for soaping, but the review thing requires a "use"). Bottle fell last night, and the cap shattered...Cashmere Noir EVERYWHERE! I definitely WILL be re-ordering some of this, because if the scent is this good just from hitting the floor, it's got to be fantastic in soap! Might also use it in some sort of room spray...it's really that good.
