Product Details

Celestial Blue Mica Powder is a sky blue shimmering cosmetic powder. This light blue powder is the color of bright Californian blue skies seen from places such as Santa Monica Pier and Laguna Beach.

The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

"We used this color to make bath bombs. We made two attempts and lessened the amount of mica powder the second time. Both times, the coloring floated on top of the water and stained the tub - not an easy to remove stain, but a "scrub with bathroom cleaner" stain. The consistency of the bath bombs was good, fragrance levels were good, and it fizzed as desired. What are we doing wrong?"

"Not Too Happy With This One"

COMMENTS: I just wish that there were more examples of cold process soap for WSP's colorants. I'm sure this would be wonderful in M&P however for CP it didn't really do much of anything. It turned it like a light gray but after cure there's just a extremely light dingy gray color.

WSP Response:

I'm sorry you had this experience. It seems others who have tried in CP have had a more positive experience. It may be worth trying again and adding a little more color.

COMMENTS: This is a GREAT bright blue for HP soap, it of course mutes in CP soap. But wow this was a best seller for me, probably doesn't matter the scent if it's this color blue!
