Staff Answer Your soap will still have the benefits of the chamomile powder. You might want to mix in with your fragrance oil and then add in after trace. This will help to mix the powder in so it does not clump.

"I'm confused. can you or can't you use this product in a cream or lotion? I saw 1 asked if they can leave the powder in a face cream to sale. the answer 'yes' was given. is the face cream a leave-on product? or do you remove the cream after application? another 1 asked if they can use the powder in a shea body butter. the answer that was given was a 'no because it is not for leave-on product'. please explain. thank you"

Staff Answer We do apologize for the confusion. The statement about a leave-on product was in error. This product is fine to use in a face cream, lotions, soaps, etc. either in a leave-on or wash-off product.

Staff Answer Yes, this can absolutely be used in a face cream. It may clump so you might want to mix in with a little water from your water phase and then mix in after it emulsifies.

"How do I add this to MP soap for babies. I see that is can be mixed in oil for CP - but what would I use for MP - want to make sure it is not abrasive - will test it of course as well as use a small amount. Plan to use Detergent Free Baby Buttermilk base. No FO or EO. Thank you. "

Staff Answer We would recommend melting a small amount of soap then mixing in the powder with a mini-mixer, if available. This would help remove any clumping and blend in the powder. Then, add this back into the larger batch of melted soap.

Staff Answer Chamomile powder is safe for babies but we do not have a special usage amount. You should always check the IFRA guidelines for essentials to see the recommended usage for baby products. We always recommend using an extremely small amount of any essential oil.

Staff Answer We are not sure if you are comparing this to Chamomile Essential Oil which would be very different. You would need to test the powder but it might clog in a facial mist. You can do numerous of things with it. 1/4 cup to 8-16 oz of oil and infuse and use the oil in the cp recipe. You can replace the water in your recipe and make a tea infusion using 3 tbsp to 2 cups boiling water, let steep covered for 8 hours. You can just add it at trace right before you pour into mold. It will give an exfoliating effect to the soap. The smell won't make it through sap process. I hope this was helpful.
