Reviews

Fabulous hunter type Green

"Love this green! I used this in M&P triple butter from WSP and only one tbs was a dark green with slight shimmer. Perfect! Would recommend as I'll be purchasing a larger quantity in the future."

Nice brown color

"I used this to make a cold process coffee soap. It has a nice sheen. It turned out a nice color of brown. This will work nice for chocolate/cake scented soaps too. I am going to use it to tint lip balm next!"

Bree (4/5)

Excellent!

"I used this powder in my chocolate mint lip gloss from the wsp recipe site. It made a beautiful pearly swirl that didn't color my lips, but gave it a faint sheen. Great stuff!"

Gretchen (5/5)

Yummy Chocolate Brown!

"I was concerned about it turning gray because of some of the previous reviews, but this mica worked perfectly for me. It was very similar to the CP sample photo shown. I will be ordering again! Behaved well in CP soap."

GREAT BOMB COLOR

"Made nice chocolate hershy kiss bath bombs!"

Kelly (5/5)

Turns gray

"Used this Chocolate Brown Mica Powder in MP three butter base. It turned gray. Tried again using Goats Milk MP base. Same result, gray. Very disappointed with the result. Not even close to brown and a not very attractive gray color. I would never buy this product again. It ruined two different batches of soap."

Karen (1/5)

happy but a little bummed

"Pretty brown in the jar but it can grey on you in cold process. . . ."

Kaycee (3/5)

Perfect for dirt soap

"I used this for my dirt soap. It is perfect. I don't see how it would be labeled ""chocolate"", but it might be because it is more of a graphite color."

Felicia (4/5)

Perfect color to simulate dirt for pumpkin patch.

"I used this color with clear M&P and poured it at the bottom of my basic 1501 mold to make ""dirt"" for my pumpkin patch. I used the pumpkin column mold and it fits perfectly into the basic 1501 mold on top of the base of ""dirt. "" I finished it with white M&P Over the entire pumpkin filling the mold. It came out great. This color could also be used in a swirl in coffee soap."

M (5/5)

Not really chocolate

"Wish it was a bit darker but is better then using all the coco powder in the house."

Q&A

Will this give me a dark brown (chocolate) color in bath bombs? I'm looking to make a chocolate “donut” bath bomb, and need a good deep chocolate color!
This color tends to get a gray tint when used in a white base. We recommended using our Matte Brown Oxide Pigment Powder or the Matte Dark Brown!
I noticed on the sample pictures this chocolate brown is only a light tan in cp soap. How do you get the deep chocolate color?
You should be able to get a deeper color just by using more.
Hello, can I use this in a body butter? I want a rich chocolate color, I already have a fragrance. Also, wil it cause a tin?
This mica powder can be added to a body butter. We believe you are also asking if the color will tint the skin? If using too much color, it can color the skin.
