Perfect for Boba Soap!

"I was looking a mold to make a Boba Tea theme soap for my granddaughter and it worked perfectly!! I can't wait to give them to her for christmas!! It also worked to make the straw and make it the perfect size just like the actual straws you use for the Boba teas! Definitely recommended!"

You need to have a little patience with this mold

"These molds are a little challenging at first. There is a trick to getting them together to make them seal, but after I figured it out, not bad. Binder clips are needed to make sure the edges stay sealed, some batter will still leak out (not out of the mold, just inside the edge of the seal) and the batter needs to be very fluid to pour. The soap star columns are really cute, they unmold easily. I'm so glad to have found a mold for stars this tiny and the challenge is worth it!"

"A little harder to work with but it will work,if it were any smaller it would be micro."

Another wonderful soap mold!

"Love this mold! I also bought the heart mini mold too. In my opinion the WSP molds are really fantastic and number #1, they set the standard for soap molds in the industry. If you want the best quality this is where you should buy your molds. They are a little bit more expensive here but they are well worth it in the long run since these molds will last for a really long time. In the long run I believe they will wind up being more economical since they won't have to be replaced often, like many inferior quality molds out in the market."

Great for Embellishing

"This mold is great for making circles in bars of soap. After the soap in unmolded, I embed the soap cylinder in my cold (or hot) process soap batter. When the soap is cut, it appears as a circle. This can be useful if you want to create a ""scene"" in your soap, with a sun or moon on the horizon. If using several cylinders, you can make polka dots or a bubbles effect in your soap. Experiment with different colors. Sometimes, if I have leftover soap, I'll pour it into this mold to use in a near future batch."

Great for small embeds

"Simple and small circles. I wasn't sure what in the world I would use this small circle (stick) for, but now that I have made a few of them. . ideas are starting to pop! I had no issues with major leaks, I made sure there was a solid seal before using. You do have to do a small clean up as a tiny bit spread out in the seal of the mold. More like a little rough edge, but was not an issue, just ran a sharp knife carefully over those places to trim. Takes very very little product to fill the tube."

perfect!

"loved these! They don't leak they're easy to put together and easy to clean. They're so small it's hard to get the soap to gel without adding heat, but that's not a huge deal if you plan for it."

Q&A

So if I understand this right this mold is 8.5" long and it only holds 1 ounce of soap? That's expensive for 1 ounce mold and over 8 inches just doesnt seem right.
The pricing on this column mold is correct. These are meant to be used as embeds and added to a loaf mold such as the 1501 Regular Loaf Mold. These are made of silicone which makes them very sturdy and can last for years. We do offer column molds that hold more soap and can be sliced and used as single bars, if desired.
Does this mold need to be filled in thirds or layers to prevent bowing?
Yes, this method will help to prevent bowing, in addition to pouring at lower temperatures.
How much soap does it take to fill it? How many ounces should I melt at a time, so I am not remelting soap.
Hi Andrea - The mold holds 0.75 fl. oz. of water. We recommend melting at least 0.75 oz. of soap, but have found melting a little more works best as some soap stays in the container. When working with small quantities the amount left in the container becomes much more noticeable. We recommend melting 1 oz. of soap to ensure you have enough to fill it and account for the soap remaining on the sides of the container.
Any news on the dimensions of this mold?
The dimensions for this mold cavity are: 8.125" long x .5" wide
What size is this?
We have not received all of the specks for this mold just yet. We are awaiting our first delivery and will add the dimensions of this mold as soon as possible.
