Product Details

Pure Cocoa Butter that is Refined and Deodorized to yield an ultra white colored butter with little color in handmade product. Use Refined Cocoa Butter in your recipes for bath fizzies, soap, lotion and more!

Cold & Hot Process Soap. Lotions. Lip Products.

Extracted from the seed kernels and is further refined and deodorized to yield an ultra white colored butter with little odor. Thought to reduce skin dryness and improve elasticity. This is a relatively hard butter ideal for body care products. All Natural. Expeller Pressed.
Average Melt Point: 100º F.

Directions:

DIRECTIONS: Slowly stir melted product into the oil portion of your formulation. Common use levels are lip products 5-100%, cold process soap 3-6%, lotions and creams 3-5%. Can be applied directly to the skin.

TIPS: The average melting point for the butter is 100°F. Butters provide moisturizing properties to products. To minimize greasy after feel we recommend blending with 1-3% cornstarch or isopropyl myristate. Test your final product to insure optimal performance.

STORAGE: Store in an airtight, cool, dark location. When stored properly, best used within 1 year from date of purchase.

CAUTION: For external use only. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

You could also add this into any lotion recipe. Maybe replace some of the Shea butter with it and add a little extra oil. Since cocoa butter is harder than Shea, if you use it to replace some Shea in a recipe you should expect a thicker result or add more liquid oils to even out the proportions

I use one part hard butter like coco one part Shea one part coconut oil I melt it and I whip it, I love it sell a ton of it.

try making soap frosting using this butter in place of shea butter! it comes out very creamy and much stiffer than the shea butter recipe, I love it! use exactly the same amount of cocoa butter as you would shea butter and it works perfectly!

A pound is a weight of measure, it is always 16 oz no matter what you're weighing. This is different from fluid oz that you can measure in a measuring cup. If a recipe calls for an oz, it likely means by weight. Get a quality scale, it's the best way to get consistent results.

A pound is 16 oz. So, depending on what you what your recipe calls for and how many batches you are making.. you can see what is offered and purchase that way. When you buy a pound of this, you do get a bag of pieces. If so, you may need to cut it to create your desired amount.

COMMENTS: Just a personal preference, I prefer the unrefined cocoa butter simply because I LOVE the natural scent of it! But if you're looking for the same great skin-loving properties of cocoa butter without the scent or natural buttery-cream color interfering or competing with added colorants, FO or EO in your projects, this is an outstanding option! Feels smooth and luxurious on the skin and is odorless & white in color. Same great feel on the skin as unrefined cocoa butter in that it's gloriously nourishing, moisturizing and rich! Highly recommend!

COMMENTS: This is by far the best cocoa butter I've ever used. It's white, hard and behaves very well in soap. Because I can get a whiter bar with this, it allows me to have more freedom when adding colorants and fragrances. Everything pops that much better and brighter. I will certainly be buying my CB from WSP. It's that good.

COMMENTS: Love this product - I made a mistake and ordered another kind of raw cocoa butter that was NOT deoderized - big problem! This product adds the extra goodness to my bath bombs but doesn't have the cocoa butter fragrance to interfere with the smell of the particular fragrance oil I'm using.

COMMENTS: If you want a good cocoa butter with no residual smell, this is perfect. It's totally white & there's no cocoa-butter smell, which is why I chose it, although now I think personally I would prefer a non-deodorized version. This was very easy to making shavings of (for easier measuring in products). The price for what you get is really good.

"Needed it quick"

COMMENTS: I usually buy my cocoa butter from another supplier (price difference) but, that supplier takes quite a while to ship out orders. So I purchased from WSP. It cost more but, the quality is better. It melted quicker and more evenly then my regular supplier. It doesn't hurt that the more money spent goes towards the awesome rewards program. I've been soaping for a few years now and every year I try to advance some kind of way, it keeps the customers happy and keeps me from getting bored. I will continue to purchase this cocoa butter. If you want your business to excel then you have to make sure you are giving a quality product. You need the right basis for that.
