Not for me- has a bitter taste

"I used this flavor oil in my lip balm and it tends to sink to the bottom and hard to mix properly. It's very mild at 2% and if I went over 4% it's very bitter. Unfortunately this is not for me."

Great Scent, Great Flavor

"I really love this flavor oil. I do add additional Lip-Smacking Sweetener as it is not sweet enough on its own. This has a great scent - and it smells just as described. I will be getting this again when I run out."

Great Smell - Taste Like Chemicals

"Was very excited for this flavor to use in my roller bottle lip glosses. I used coconut oil for the gloss part and did the recommended amount based on this websites calculations for flavor. . . . . . was glad I only made a small batch! I used leftover gloss to try in my personal bottle and was disgusted by the taste and even worse it had an after taste in my mouth. If you advertise it as a not sweetened flavor and more of a nice smelling gloss you will feel more comfortable."

Best seller

"This is my best selling lip balm flavor. It is also my personal favorite. I always carry it in my purse. Thank you for a wonderful product!"

Tastes/Smells awful!

"I'm not normally one to review let alone take the time to share a negative review. However, this one was really bad. It smells nothing like coconut and tastes very bitter and chemical-like. I wish I had tested a small amount first (which I usually do) but this one I made a full 50 tube batch and had to toss the batch and the remains of what was in the bottle. Thankfully, I didn't pour into tubes so only my balm mix was ruined. I tried a tad bit out of the bottle and thought it would simmer down once diluted into my balm, but I was sadly disappointed. :("

Super Impressed

"I was nervous about this fragrance at first but it did not disappoint! The oil itself is pink but I used it to make white bath bombs and it worked perfectly. It's been two weeks and the bath bombs are still snow white and beautiful! It works great in m&p soap as well. It has a wonderful coconut scent. I always make sure my craft table has soap and bath bombs made with this coconut fragrance oil. It is the best and I would never use a different coconut oil now,"

VERY bitter

"I thought I would add some variety to my lip balm line of products. But no matter how much or little of this ""sweetened"" flavor oil I tested in lip balms, it still tasted awfully bitter. I would not suggest this flavor oil to anyone."

CYNTHIA (1/5)

careful

"I love the smell of this coconut flavor, but one mistake i made was using too much and the taste was very bitter, so don't make the mistake i did by using too much, if you want it to be sweeter, i would use a sweetener or it will taste yucky!"

Q&A

I just recently ordered this as a sample and I absolutely love this flavor oil. Are you still using saccharin for the sweetener or have you changed sweeteners over the years. I really want to use this but unfortunately the saccharin is a deal breaker.
As of right now our flavor oils are sweetened with saccharin. I have included a link to our Coconut Unsweetened Flavor Oil.https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/products/Coconut-Natural-Flavor-Oil-Unsweetened.aspx
This may be a useless question but, would there be a vanilla stabilizer for your sweetened flavor oils that contain vanilla?
Lip products are typically made of oils and butters which do not discolor from vanilla. Also, vanilla color stabilizer should not be used in lip products.
Are these, or any of your flavor oils, edible. I don't want to make good with it or anything but just want to make sure these would be safe if a child got a hold of a tube of balm.
They are safe for lip contact. No cosmetic including lip balm should be eaten.
I purchased this item about 6-7 months ago and it has turned a reddish brown. It now gives my products a pinkish color tone as where this did not happen before. Any fixes for this? & it also has a bitter flavor now. I read other reviews that the product is still good to use, but I am having a hard time continuing use with this issue. Help.
Some fragrances or flavors do darken over time due to the ingredients in them. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do for this. As for the bitter taste, you might try adding additional sweetener, a very small amount, to see if that will help.
I bought the Coconut Cream Sweetened Flavor Oil Dec. 2017 (Batch # 12/02/17) with a use by date of 12/02/18. I've used it a few times and it has been very, very popular with my customers. I was using it yesterday, June 8, 2018 and the oil is now brown and tastes HORRIBLE. I have to throw away a whole batch of lip balms. Why is this oil now unusable? I wasted money on a 4 oz jar and am losing revenue because I have to discard products I made. What recommendations do you have? Help????
Flavor oils do not spoil. It sounds like you may need to shake the bottle or you may have used too much. When too much flavor oil is used it can taste bitter.
