This Coconut Oil is liquid at temperatures over 76º F. Popular in cold and hot process soap making because it produces a wonderful lather. All Natural. Pressed and Solvent Extracted. No trace of Hexane. Use coconut oil in many of your handmade cosmetics!

Short Term Storage:

Removing air from storage container will delay oxidation and rancidity (may need to place in a smaller container). Refrigeration can extend shelf life.

"I purchased a 1 lb amount and was surprised that it arrived in a bottle--(most companies use pouches from which you can squeeze out oil). The product is rock solid even at 78 F room temp and the bottle is too tall to fit in my microwave. Is the bottle this oil is packaged in sturdy enough to withstand being placed in a double boiler type setup? And/or any other suggestions for making it malleable enough to get out of the bottle?"

"I melted this with cocoa butter, and I mixed it really well while melted, but now that it's cooled off for days, it seems the edges of the container I put it in is all coconut oil while the middle is cocoa butter. It is mixed, but there is a definite difference in some spots. I apply it to my dry facial skin and there are tiny bits of cocoa butter that take forever to melt. I'm going to melt it again, should I whip it to incorporate it better?"
