Product Details

Coral Orange Reef Mica Powder is a coral cosmetic colorant that is safe for cosmetics. The bright reddish-orange color reminds us of bright coral and colorful fish seen while scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef.

The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

"Coral Orange Reef Mica"

COMMENTS: Even though this mica is listed as CP soap stable the color changed to a dull rust shade on the 3 times that I've used it. When I called to ask about the color not being stable I was told that it is in fact not pH stable. Unfortunately, unlike some micas, this one does not convert to the claimed color after the soap has cured.

"A nice change from regular Orange"

COMMENTS: I’d had a sample of this for awhile now. And finally got around to trying it. At first it made me a bit nervous because it looked red when I poured it. But when I cut the soap it had morphed back. I don’t know that it’s what you might think of when you think “Coral”. A couple of people said it looked like a reddish rust color. To me it does look like a deep rust/coral/orange color. I really like it because it is so unique looking. I don’t think I would use it as my base color. But as an accent color, it looks really great. I had used WSPs Lime Green Mojito Mica as my base color. And this Coral Orange Reef Mica paired really well with the light green color.

"Beautiful Mica"

COMMENTS: This mica is gorgeous, I did experience some color morphing in my CP soap. It turned a chili pepper color instead of the coral color I was hoping for. I still love the color and will use it in MP instead or do a CP/MP soap.
