Staff Answer Yes it can be used to thicken lotions. How much really depends on your formula. You can start with anywhere from 1tsp-tbsp. You can mix it in with your oils.

"Is your cornstarch gluten-free? I have a client who is really sensitive to wheat-derived products and I want to make sure the cornstarch isn't processed in a facility that also handles wheat."

Staff Answer Cornstarch serves to help create a harder bubble cake. Without it the cake would be too soft to form and would not crumble into the bath as intended. Kaolin clay is a suitable drying agent and my be used in substitution. Just be sure to test your recipe in small batches and update your label to include any additions or substitutions.

To my knowledge, corn starch can be a substitute for DryFlo, however it is a little less effective. You can add a lIttle more corn starch or the same amount that the recipe calls for.

Staff Answer Yes, Cornstarch can be added to a lotion recipe to reduce the greasy feel. Cornstarch can be used much the same as Tapioca Starch or Arrowroot Powder.
