"Will this fragrance turn my lotion base (goats milk and honey) brown since it has a high concentration of vanilla? If so what do I need to add so it won’t turn brown . "

Staff Answer We would recommend using the Vanilla Stabilizer for MP soap for the Foaming Bath Whip. Since this contains almost 10% vanilla, we recommend using equal parts of fragrance and stabilizer.

"I was shocked to see that this fragrance with 9 % Van didn't turn my soaps brown. Have you changed your vanilla to the one that does not turn your soaps dark? If you have outstanding choice! I will be purchasing more in the future. Thank you WSP "

Staff Answer We have not changed anything in this fragrance. We are not sure how long ago you made the soap, but this fragrance has always discolored over time. If you look at the second image for this fragrance, you will see the discoloration of CP soap after 4 weeks. We are glad your's did not change color but we are not sure why it did not.

"It shows a light tan color with cold process. Is this a true depiction of what the soap will be? I ask because if it turns chocolate brown my design will not work. I just lost a batch to fragrance separation I don't want to lose another one in tomorrow. Thanks for any help you can provide. "

Staff Answer This is an actual picture of soap made with this fragrance after 4 weeks. We cannot say how it will darken in your soap. We would recommend using stabilizer which will lessen the discoloration.

Staff Answer This fragrance, as with any of our fragrances, is safe to use in hair products. The IFRA levels are very high for use in bath and body products. Normally, we recommend using 1-2% in hair products.

Staff Answer We have not experienced any discoloration with bath salts. You can use the vanilla color stabilizer for CP for your bath bombs. We have found this to work best in this product.

"I may have chosen wrong product.... can this be used in lip balm formulas? Would I be better off trying flavoring oil instead of fragrance oil? If I DO use this in body butter, would it work w the scent of shea butter? The S B I use is good quality and has a light scent, but Im unsure if it would work well..."

Staff Answer This is not a flavor oil but if you look at the IFRA Levels for this fragrance, this can be used in lip products up to 4.20%. You would need to test this fragrance in your shea butter to know how it will react with the shea butter scent.

Staff Answer Good question! I had to pull samples of these two fragrances and have multiple people from the office weigh in on this one. We feel that the Cotton Candy FO 124 encompasses the whole boardwalk experience with the cotton candy and the salty sea air. The Cotton Candy Twist FO 826 has more of the syrupy sweet cotton candy scent.

"When adding this F.O. to my bubble cakes it made my cakes dark as they dried. What could I add to my bubble cake recipe to avoid this from happening. Thanks"

Likely it is because of the vanilla content in the fragrance oil. If it is like soaps or other items you need to add something like titanium dioxide or a vanilla color stabilizer. Hope this helps.
