Directions

Cut desired amount from the color bar and melt into warm soap base at 130-140 ºF. To color your product, start with small amount of color and increase as desired. Adding this color to white soap will produce a pastel colored bar. Adding this color to a clear base will produce a shimmering bright colored bar. Using too much color may cause staining. Test your final product to ensure optimal performance and no staining. Protect work areas and clothing when mixing.

Q&A

How is this different than just adding mica to your base? Thankx!: Soap color bars are made from Melt & Pour soap. They are meant to be added to your MP soap base and melted in with the soap. The color bars can blend easier and suspend better than just adding the mica to your melted soap.
Can this be used for liquid body wash to add some color and shimmer: Color blocks are made to be used in melt and pour soap only. You can use the Shimmering Dark Gold Mica Powder in a liquid body wash but we would recommend using a suspension base. Otherwise, the mica powder will settle to the bottom of the bottle.
What would the equivalent ounces to use of this color bar that would be comparable to using a half teaspoon of mica powder?: We cannot give you this exact information. The color blocks are very concentrated. It could be as small as 1/8 of a cube but you would need to experiment with this in your soap.
