"Might have gotten an old batch??" |
| COMMENTS: I was excited to try this based on the reviews. I have made a lot of projects with other bases, so I understand how to heat, when to add fragrance, how to thoroughly blend, and when to pour. My finished product had rough flecks of white soap that wouldn’t accept the color. I attempted to remelt, making sure not to overheat, stirred thoroughly and had the same result. The lather was not as luxurious as I was hoping, and was not as creamy as I find with the goat milk or hemp base. It was kind of thin, if that makes sense. Based on this, could it be likely that I had an older batch? I’d love to hear if anyone else has had this happen. | |

The extracts already included in the base saves me time and money many I would add when I used a traditional plane MP base. Lathers beautifully and excepts essential oil and other fragrance oils well. It leaves the skin clean, smooth, and soft yet rinses well. This has become my go to White and MP base. | |||||||

"Soap created from the book "King of the Wind"" |
| COMMENTS: “King of the Wind” is a layered soap made based on a favorite child-hood book... “King of the Wind” by Marguerite Henry. It is the story of the Godolphin Arabian, one of the most famous horses of all time, whose blood flows through some of the greatest thoroughbred race horses in history, including Man o’ War. He was born in the stables of the Sultan of Morocco. He was golden-red and named “Sham” for the sun. It is a beautiful story, well loved and read over and over through the years and still sits on my book shelf. I recently found a horse rescue organization here in Southern California. I wanted to donate hand-made soap and other things for the volunteers who work with the horses. So It seemed perfect to me to create this soap as a donation in honor of the horses and the folks who take care of them. The WSP products I used for “King of the Wind” are (1st layer) the Moroccan Argan melt & pour soap base, the running horse mold # MW 106, activated charcoal-hardwood to color soap for mane & tail, a blend of bronze sparkle mica powder, copper sparkle mica powder, yellow gold sparkle mica powder to color soap for the body of the horse. (2nd layer) Aloe & Olive detergent free melt & pour base, Fuller’s Earth Clay and Sands of Morocco FO #174. I love to create products "with a story" that have special meaning for me and share them with others. I love the products you offer. Thank you! | |
