Our Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free soap base that is opaque and white in color. It contains goat milk, which is loaded with vitamins, beta-casein, and protein for properties that will hydrate and nourish dry skin. The ten-pound block makes (40) 4 oz. bars of soap and measures 12" x 11" x 2.25". This soap is white with a creamy lather.

Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

"Consistency issues and drying"

COMMENTS: There are a lot of great reviews for this product, but my experience is different. It was easy to cut and melt. It set well in the molds. But I found the consistency of the soap to be rubbery, like fresh mozzarella, which is not what I was looking for. The base was also drying to my skin so I didn't feel confident giving this to friend and family. I don't plan to use this again unless it's for embeds or decorations.

COMMENTS: This Detergent Free Goat Milk MP Soap Base, is the only goat milk soap base I will ever use! You would think because it is detergent free, that it woulnd't have lather, or suds.. wrong! It lather's and suds up very well, and my customers absolutely love all my soaps made with this soap base, it is a little more than the regular goats milk, but worth every penny! I won't use any other goat milk base.

COMMENTS: First time I tried a DF MP base. I actually like this most of all the other bases I tried. To me, it melts easier. Takes scents, colors and extra oils really well. The soaps made are very smooth. Lathers well too. My friends always ask me for more because all of them thought that the soaps are very moisturizing and gentle. I've tried goat's milk bases from other companies but after using WSP's DF goat's milk, those other brands are not on par at all. I think this base will be the main MP base I use from now on.

COMMENTS: This is the base that I use when making goat milk soaps. I try not to add any coloring or fragrance to it because I want it to be pure. Makes excellent charcoal and clay bars and my customers love it! When I do use fragrance, it holds that and color very well. Takes time to set up, but I can live with it.

COMMENTS: I bought this because I decided to make holiday gifts for everyone I work with. We are a new company this year and I figured making soap/lotion baskets wold be a great idea that would cross all lifestyles, ages, and traditions. (And save me a lot of $$- We have 53 employees!) I chose this base because I love goat milk soap and usually pay $6-8 a bar. I also purchased the glycerine one for the Vegans. I loved the soaps and was amazed on how easy it was to make the soap with a variety of scents. I planned on using the lotion base and everyone getting one bar and one small lotion... I got hooked and made about 30 pounds of melt and pour, gallons of lotion base and then started making from scratch. (CP soap, lotions, hair conditioner, bath bombs, lotion bars, lip balm, face balm, Castile soap...). Everyone received large personalized baskets. Beware if you buy this- you might be like me and find a new passion. This has been the best experience- better than meditation, yoga, or wine. I make stuff to relax and unwind from work. I feel awesome giving gifts I made myself, and I have connected with my kids both through them using the stuff and now getting interested in creating their own. And it all started with this fantastic product. THANK YOU!

COMMENTS: This is my #1, fly off the shelf, soap. It has luxurious lather and makes my skin feel smooth and refreshed. I make quite a few bars of unscented soap bars which appeals to many of my customers. The detergent FREE quality is a selling factor too, as some people are allergic to detergents.
