Cold Process Soap Test Results:

We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"not what it was"

COMMENTS: i recently ordered this product. i have been getting this for 8+ years. The one i recently received is no where near the scent i have always gotten. Now ive got 8 oz of a pnothingroduct i will never use. It stinks.

"It didn't stick."

COMMENTS: Out of the bottle it was as I expected. But after cure there was little scent left. The scent didn't hold at all. I soap with beef tallow so not sure if that made a difference but normally Tallow hangs on to the scent. Just didn't work for me.

"Great Vibrant Scent!"

COMMENTS: A customer favorite for the men and women! The scent is delightful and never fades. It will rice a wee bit when you first add it to your cold process soap, but you can stick blend right through it easily. It does NOT thicken too fast once you stick blend through the ricing. Don't let that scare you off from buying this amazing scent!

"Ricing and Acceleration oh my"

COMMENTS: I had immediate ricing which once I stick blended it back together progressed to acceleration. The smell is good but I don't think it is worth the aggravation.

	"Spa Basket Gift Set"
COMMENTS: Living in a waterfront community and being a Sea Scout booster means being asked to donate a gift basket for a fundraiser. What to do? I settled on this fragrance in order to stick to a water theme and I am very pleased I did. I used the euro round silicone mold and made enough soap batter to fill it (and a little more) and made salt soap bars. Because I made such a small batch I didn't wait for the batter to cool and soaped at 110°. Now salt bars are coconut, with a titch castor, shea and olive. I could have waited to blend in my mica and salt before I added the fo, but I didn't. Did it accelerate? Maybe. But maybe I soaped too warm, the batch was too small, etc. But I wasn't worried about swirls and with the salt (50% of oil weight) I knew I wasn't going to have much time. Worked the way I needed. Smells great OOB and fresh soap. Up next, bath bombs and salts. I am even thinking about a para / soy blend candle to round it all out.

"I can’t stop smelling it!"

COMMENTS: I love the lotion that I can buy in the mall and this fragrance smells just like it! I am amazed at how divine my cold process soap smells! I want to always have this on hand and keep it for myself. It did rice a little bit, but I did try a milk soap. I’m not sure how it works otherwise but it is worth it. I soaped around 89 degrees. Next time I will lower it to 70 and see if that helps.

COMMENTS: I had an Eucalyptus and Mint FO from another supplier and loved it. However, it contains Phthalate and this one from WSP does not so I gave it a try. "Naughty But Nice!"

COMMENTS: This FO is indeed naughty in CP soap - it riced instantly, but I was able to blend it out. So be prepared to work fast with this baby and no fancy stuff. OTOH, the scent is VERY strong and sticks very well. It does have a herbal smell to it with an almost men's cologne scent. Very nice and unisex.

"Smells wonderful, did cause mild ricing"

COMMENTS: The smell is wonderful and easily one of our top sellers! Performed great in M&P, lotions and sugar scrubs. However, it did cause some mild ricing in my CP soap and the finished bars were left with a 'textured' appearance. Will definitely continue to use but we just make sure to add it at the last possible minute prior to pouring.

	"Had some struggles with this one"
COMMENTS: Initially had a lot of troubles with this fragrance accelerating trace in my soap. Pretty much instantaneously it turned my CP soap into jelly when soaping at 125 degrees. I made a second batch and lowered my temp to about 110 and it behaved much better although it definitely accelerated trace. All in all a nice pleasant scent but I would probably not buy again.

COMMENTS: WSP’s version is the best of this FO. I’ve tried several other companies Eucalyptus Spearmint and they don’t compare. It’s also my best seller with both men and women. It’s also my go to FO when testing a new product/recipe. I know people like the scent so something about the product it doesn’t sell. I always get a sleep get acceleration when using it in CP but nothing that ruins a pour. No discoloration.

"Beware in CP Soap"

COMMENTS: I love the scent- it is an exact dupe for BBW Stress Relief line. I've used in bath fizzies, shower steamers, and body butters with zero issues. Today, I decided to make CP soap since my customers love the scent in other products. I was soaping at room temp, as soon as I poured FO in, it instantly riced. I was able to stick blend it out, but it left my batter extremely thick- ruining my planned design. Smells great in the mold, we'll see what happens once I cut the loaf...

"Didn't work in CP for me!"

COMMENTS: I hve never been a huge fan of this fragrance but customers seem to like it. It has performed well for me in melt and pour, lotions and massage oils but not in CP. I soaped my tried and true goatsmilk recipe at low temps and it instantly riced. I was not able to stick blend it back in as it accelerated very fast. The entire batch was ruined. I would definately be very very hesitant to use this in Cold Process

"Smells Heavenly - SEIZES immediately!"

COMMENTS: I should have paid more attention to the other reviews that mentioned this FO causing the CP batter to seize. But no, I planned a multi-color swirl. HAHAHAHA! I was basically battling gelling soap balls because I didn't realize the batter had completely seized until I added the colors. I had just enough time to bring to emulsification, pour batter into 6 cups, then by the time I poured colorants into the 6 cups and went to stir each, it was like trying to stir colored oil into a bar of soap. What a total disaster! I still attempted a plop-and-hope, but I don't expect this batch to work out. Too bad because the smell is great! So only for lotions and bath bombs going forward.

There are definitely the fresh crsip green notes of eucalyptus and spearmint but all without the medicinal sting of menthol. This is a great fragrance for anything "spa" related. "So fresh and clean! uplifting! "

COMMENTS: I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SCENT! The mixture is just right. It's not weak! It seems to blend well with the products I make. There is no FO fake scent to it. It stays nice on the skin and doesn't seem to change with my chemistry. Keeps a fresh clean scent. I do find however, that if you use too much, especially in lotuons, it tends to dry your skin out. So just be careful of the amount you use.

"Different than the name, but a winner"

COMMENTS: I visited WSP looking for a fragrance containing Eucalyptus par customer's request. Since I was hesitant about the scent of eucalyptus alone, I purchased this fragrance oil. I gave it four stars instead of five, only because I don't smell much eucalyptus in it. However, nearly every client that has smelled my soap containing this fragrance oil has loved it! The scent is manly to me, almost like a clean-smelling cologne. It is a strong scent, and behaves nicely in melt and pour soap.

COMMENTS: It's a toss up between this and Mango Papaya which is my best seller, but I may be leaning toward the Eucalyptus & Spearmint. I sell goat's milk soap and lotion and use this fragrance in a charcoal facial scrub bar. Pretty much everyone who picks it up has to buy one and I always sell out of the lotion quickly. It has a nice light, clean smell. Makes a great soothing lotion for sore muscles. Haven't noticed any processing problems with CP milk soap.

"Refreshing Scent!"

COMMENTS: This oil worked well for bath bombs and a little goes a long way. For CP soap it did accelerate trace and half way through curing I'm not sure the scent is holding. Next time I soap with it I will add more to over-scent the batch. Be prepared to work fast if making CP. The scent is refreshing and clean!
