Can Evening Primrose Oil be added to Melt & Pour Soap base? If so, at what amount for you 2 lb soap: We typically do not recommend added oils to our MP soap as it can affect the hardness and lather. If you choose to add some, we recommend only adding a very small amount.
Hello, I was wanting to add evening primrose oil to the goat milk & honey lotion paraben free base. How do i figure out how much to add to this base? Thank you: It is not recommended to add additional oils or butters to a ready-made base. Since the lotion is already emulsified, it can cause separation. You might try adding one of our hydrosols which are water-soluble and add extra label appeal to your lotion. We do offer the Moisturizing Lotion with Evening Primrose already added.
What can be used in place of Evening Primrose Oil in your recipes? I'm allergic to it. Thank you.: This would depend on the recipe. If CP soap, you would need to run this through the lye calc for a substitute oil. For most other products, you can use a favorite oil or something similar to the Evening Primrose.
