Staff Answer We have not tested our products using fruit or fruit rinds, peels, etc. There would be some concern about the fruit molding or growing bacteria. Adding preservatives will not guard fresh produce from mold growth.

Staff Answer Flash point is simply the point at which it may ignite when exposed to a flame.

A low flash point simply means that when you add your oil it should be below that degrees. I've done CP and HP with this product and I AM IN LOVE. It's the richest vanilla and the smell "sticks".

I have never had a fragrance oil ignite or combust in soap during gel phase, but you can choose not to insulate your soap if you like. That will bring your overall temperature down.

Some people use flash point to determine if they should gel or not gel their soap. If you're unsure, just place your soap in the freezer overnight, than let it sit out for a couple days. Soap takes longer to become firm enough to cut when it doesn't gel, but it will help to ease any concerns you have about how heat might impact your fragrance.

if you use a low flashpoint FO and insulate it, it may create not so good looking heat tunnels in your soap :(

Flash point has nothing to do with how a fragrance works or holds inside of soap. It's about how dangerous the oil is when approached by a flame.
