"Great OOB, No Scent Retention in Cold Process" | ||||||
| COMMENTS: Smells great OOB; but, it didn't stick in the cold process soap once cured. I use a basic recipe. I was very disappointed, because of hte price and because of the 5 star reviews, I expected more. I did notice most of the top reviews weren't using it in cold process, so I'm assuming the scent holds through in other application. | |||||||

| COMMENTS: I ordered this one late last fall and made it with your powdered goats milk and colloidal oats. It makes a beautiful creamy white bar of delicious smelling soap. | COMMENTS: I just made a sample batch of this two days ago and cut it yesterday. I made a 2lb batch using madder root powder for colorant and swirled some white into it. I used the whole 2oz sample bottle in the batch, which was 6%. Next time I may do 5% as it was *very* strong! But it's delicious and it really does smell like fresh picked apples! We didn't have an apple scent in our line yet, and it will be perfect for fall. There was no acceleration at all and I had plenty of time to swirl. Getting ready to order more! | COMMENTS: I was looking for an apple fragrance that didn't discolor, to make a 4th of July themed soap. Used this in 4 lbs of oils with a 35% lye concentration (a reasonable water discount). Was super easy to work with. I actually split the batter into three layers/colors and probably poured too early, because it was still quite fluid when I poured. Lots of possibilities with this one, and it smells great. Not overly sweet. Just fresh. I would buy this one again. | |||||||
