COMMENTS: So upon researching and reading reviews about Geranium, I was expecting a floral scent. The batch I received is nowhere near floral at all, it smells like wet grass. I've been smelling it at different times of the day to make sure I wasn't smelling other EO's within the same timeframe to throw me off, and still the same thing. I could even give it a pass if it were actually an herbaceous smell, but unfortunately for me there's none of that in play with my bottle. I purchased 4oz of this so I'll have to use it for something, but I can't use it for what I purchased it for. Maybe this bottle I received has gone rancid or something, because I usually get really good EO's from WSP and I order frequently, like twice a month so I know they have some great stuff....

COMMENTS: Great oil; performs well in all of my products.
COMMENTS: Used in cold process. Soaped around 80* with water discount. Used geranium EO at calculator-recommended 5%. Caused batter to seize. Was able to hot process and salvage soap. Should have anticipated this as most floral EO cause acceleration although was optimistic given somehow this one is labeled as not causing acceleration. Fragrance has held so far and is strong. Does smell good but if I use again in the future will definitely use less and use with much more caution given severe acceleration.

"Your information that this does not accelerate"
COMMENTS: I have used Geranium Rose for many years, from a multitude of sources and one thing that is consistent about it is that is does accelerate trace in CP soap, almost immediately from adding it and stirring it in with a whisk. If you were able to use this without it accelerating, I sure would love to learn how you did it.
COMMENTS: I make a facial bar using this essential oil. It helps to promote beautiful radiant skin. My customers love the scent. I had no acceleration with this eo.

COMMENTS: When I first took a whiff straight out of the bottle I thought...ughhh!
Used it first in my diffuser and when it's not full strength it smells amazing.
I used it in soaps and bath fizzies with rose petals added. The look and smell is very elegant.

"True to Scent"
COMMENTS: This essential oil is a true geranium, and while it's not as strong as other brands I have used, it still is fairly strong so a little goes a long way. Great in combination with other EOs.
COMMENTS: You have to buy Rose Geranium if you want a rose smell, this is nice though and an excellent quality! All of the Essential Oils I've Purchased from WSP have been exceptional. Wish you carried more of a selection so I wouldn't have to go anywhere else.

"Best I've tried"
COMMENTS: I use this EO quite frequently as my top selling recipes include it. A little goes a long way with my products and with CP soap it holds it scent nicely through cure.
COMMENTS: This geranium EO stinks out of the bottle, I used 5 drops in conjunction with 10 drops of lavender and it produced a night scent. I'd say this is a geranium best mixed with something else to make your own scent. IT IS STRONG, that's for sure. I'm not sure if I will purchase again or search for a better geranium EO.

"Don't judge it right out of the bottle."
COMMENTS: Yes, right out of the bottle it will throw your head back. "Whoa, baby!" was my first response. Also, I really don't know who thought it smelled anything like a rose, but that person and myself have an altogether different interpretation of roses. Like if I pulled something out of the fridge that smelled like it there ain't no way I'd eat it. Mediciney, heavy chemical almost. All that said, it is almost amazing what happens to it when blended. The various citrus, lavender, and patchouli are good to throw in there. It's worth trying to find a combo to be able to include it, because there is no denying it has wonderful benefits for your skin, especially in the matter of fine wrinkles. Results have been seen in as soon as 10 days to 2 weeks. Just remember, it has a place in your arsenal, but it ain't roses.

COMMENTS: Smells like delicate roses. A good substitute for the more expensive rose essential oils. Can be blended with many other scents.
COMMENTS: Strong, rose-like scent. A bit cloying and heavy, very floral. A little goes a long way. I really like it, my hubby hates it. I mix it with other EO's to balance and lighten it up a bit.

COMMENTS: People have commented that this does not smell like Geranium or like what they perceive it to. Alone, this EO would provide many different properties on the skin/hair than it would as an aroma. Using EO's as aroma-based aromatherapy usually do not do well alone. They will enhance the user with the properties usually inherent to them, however to keep the properties AND aromas pleasing, we usually mix two or more EO's together for a heavenly scent. Oh, and love the quality and price on this ESSENTIAL essential oil.
