Directions

On low heat, warm base to 120º F or until it becomes liquid. Add cosmetic grade fragrance and FDA approved color additive. Pour into container. Allow to return to room temperature and apply top. Label per FDA label requirements.

Warning

For external cosmetic use only. Not for ingestion. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

"I have experimented between this base and the aloe and shea base. Although similar I have decided to return to this base. I find that it is less viscous and behaves better in pump dispenser bottles. I love the silky smooth feel and it is quick absorbing. I warm before adding fragrance oil for easier blending. My customers love this, too!"

"This formula is just as good as the original but it's nice that is it paraben free. Creamy and moisturizing without being greasy. Fragrance and colorants blend in well'without heating it up. The only negative is that different batches tend to have different thickness, some are more fluid than others so I need to adjust how much liquid I add."

What is the total amount of additives (%) for this base and what is the recommended % (maximum) usage for FO & EO? Ex: 5% total additives and FO .5% - 1% / or .5% - 2%? Also need to verify where I would place fragrance at in the ingredient list when labeling.: Max recommended fragrance: 4% (follow IFRA Guidelines) Max total additives: 5% (including fragrance) Fragrance is listed at the end of the ingredient listing.

If phenoxyethenol is only meant to be used at 1% or less why is it listed so high up on your ingredient list? Shouldn't it be one of the last listed ingredients?: even though phenoxyethanol is used at lower concentrations (1% or less), the ingredient list reflects the relative concentration compared to other ingredients, so its placement higher up might simply be a result of the overall formulation balance. It doesn't necessarily indicate that it's used at a higher percentage than recommended.
