AAK Golden Wax 464 Soy Wax: Helpful Product Information:

Melt Point: 115°-119° Origin: Soy International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI): Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil (and) Monoglycerides

AAK Golden Wax 464 Soy Wax: Directions:

Allow wax to air out for 24-48 hours before use to remove excess moisture. Open the bag and stir/rotate the wax every few hours. Store in a cool, dry area to maintain quality. Melting: Heat wax to 170-175°F in a double boiler or wax melter. Fragrance & Color: Add up to 12% fragrance oil and any colorant, stirring continuously for 2 minutes. Pouring: Let the wax cool to 125-145°F before pouring into containers. Curing: Allow candles to cure for 2 weeks for the best scent throw and performance. WARNING: Never melt wax on direct heat such as stove burner, always use a melter or double boiler method.

AAK Golden Wax 464 Soy Wax: Crafter’s Notes & Troubleshooting Tips:

Ensure proper curing time of 2 weeks for the best fragrance throw. If fragrance seems weak, try adding it at 185°F for better incorporation. Soft or melting candles in warm weather? Consider using a higher melt point soy wax like Golden Brands 444. If candle tops are rough or uneven, try pouring at 5-10°F higher and avoid cooling candles on cold surfaces like marble or granite. A heat gun can be used after cooling to smooth out imperfections. Wick testing is recommended to achieve optimal burning characteristics and will vary with different combinations of wax, fragrance, dye, and container size, although ECO Series Wicks seem to perform the best.

AAK 464 is designed to provide superior fragrance throw and a refined appearance, making it ideal for container candles. Its smooth, opaque finish and excellent scent dispersion make it a reliable choice for both hobbyists and professional candle makers. With soy-based additives, there is reduced frosting and improved glass adhesion, preventing wet spots. Finished candles have a smooth and creamy appearance with superior fragrance throw!

Directions

Heat wax to around 185°F, then add dye and up to 10% fragrance oil, stirring thoroughly. Pour between 130–145°F and allow candles to cool slowly for best jar adhesion and surface smoothness. Cure for at least 24 hours (two weeks for maximum scent throw). Avoid blending with beeswax, and use a heat gun if needed to perfect the tops.

Warning

For external use only. Use caution when melting—hot wax may cause burns. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.
