Missing mold and ingredients

"I didn’t receive the mold and didn’t receive one of the additives. I’d give it 1 star but the ingredients are high quality and the scent is a great scent. You do not receive it as a “kit” though. It’s mixed in with the rest of your order."

So runny

"Bought the whipped soap because it didn’t have an offensive odor like the Stephenson bath soap base. This recipe never whipped up and remained runny. Completely wasted my money and base product."

Great Kit for Beginners and a Fun Project Together

"I bought this kit because my nephew, who has autism, wanted to make his own body wash. I figured this would be a safer and more reliable option than a random TikTok recipe, and it absolutely was. The kit is very beginner‑friendly, and we had a great time making everything together. You do need to supply a few extra items: a microwave‑safe measuring cup, a spatula, a glass bowl for mixing the fragrance, and a stabilizer for the body wash. I’d also recommend using a zip‑top or piping bag when filling the lotion bottles — it makes things much easier and less messy. We ended up with some fragrance oil and polysorbate left over, which was a nice bonus. The White Patchouli scent was lovely — noticeable but not overpowering. My only real con is that the instructions assume you have a microwave. We don’t, so we used a double‑boiler method to warm the shower gel and lotion enough to mix in the fragrance. It worked fine, but it would be great if the instructions included an alternative method. Labels or a link to printable labels would also be a helpful addition, especially since many people use these kits for gifts or testing out products. One small note: the link in the instructions for the recipe goes to an error page — adding an “s” to “recipes” fixes it. Overall, this was a fun, easy project, and I’ll definitely be looking at more kits in the future."

Super Cute

"This was a fun make. The loofa didn't fit into the molds, so I had to cut them."

?????????? High-Quality Argan Oil That Performs We

"This argan oil is lightweight, absorbs well, and leaves skin and hair feeling soft without heaviness. It works beautifully in lotions, serums, and hair products. No off odors and very consistent quality. A reliable carrier oil that I feel confident using in finished products."

?????????? Unique, Creamy, and Surprisingly Elegan

"An unexpected but very pleasant combination. The chocolate note is smooth and creamy, not artificial, and the lavender keeps it balanced and sophisticated. Works well in specialty soaps and candles. Definitely a standout fragrance for customers looking for something different."

Love scent - disappointed it's only bulk now

"Loved using this in a cold process soap with prickly pear juice. Was a nice light scent very refreshing and always performed well for me. Disappointed it's only offered in bulk now."

Q&A

Can fresh pasteurized goat milk be used in any of these lotion recipes? If so, how would I adjust water and preservative?
This is something you will have to research, depending on the rest of your recipe.
Is it possible to make a large batch of this and leave out the fragrance oil, then reheat and add fragrance later? I sell lotion and want to make a large batch, then add fragrance to smaller portions as customers order specific scents. Would this be ok as long as the temperature doesn't get hot enough to make the preservative ineffective?
Yes, you cam do this!
Hi there,I'm wanting to add green tea butter to this recipe. How much should I add?Thank you
You would want to replace some or all of the current butter in this recipe. The recipe has been formulated with these exact ingredients. Adding an additional butter can change the outcome of the lotion.
Is there an error in the description of this kit? This did not come with enough ingredients to make 24 bottles of lotion.
We do apologize - this was an error. The kit makes 8 bottles of lotion. We have corrected this on our website.
Can I make these into lotion bars?? If so, what do i substitute to really firm it up for a bar?
I would not recommend this for a lotion bar. We have lots of good lotion bar recipes in the Handmade 101 library. Those have all been tested for performance.
