Formula Change??

"What happened to this wonderful lotion? Just received my 4 buckets and the consistency is not the same. It is thick and globby when it normally is fluid and pourable. Been buying this base for many years and never have been disappointed, until now."

Smoother and Dewey skin!

"I have been putting these in my moisturizers and face masks. I do feel my skin smoother and retains the moisture without the greasiness from the oils. Helps that I don't need preservatives with this as I do with natural honey."

Q&A

Can this be used in Shampoo Bars and Conditioner Bars?Thank you.
Yes it can
What is this preserved with?
This contains .2%-.4% Sorbic Acid.
I want tobuse this for a hair oil mixture with avocado, apricot, almond, and peppermint for fragrance. How would I go about incorporating honeyquat into it? This is my first venture into creating a hair product.
You will need to use an emulsifier to incorporate this into an oil based formula.
You said Honeyquat is water-based. Do you need emulsifier to incorporate it to oil-based formulas? Also if you add it to CP soap - 1 to 3 % - do you need to write it in the recipe of the soap? If you don't write an additive everything might change. And if you write it - where exactly do you write in the recipe?
You can use an emulsifier to incorporate this into an oil based formula. When adding to CP soap you should add extracts at a light trace. For information on how to calculate a forumula, please visit our caculator help via https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/Calculators/info/helptext.asp
At what point would you add the honeyquat in CP soapmaking? Can this be substituted for water when mixing with lye, or is it added after? i was thinking that any benefits may be lost due to the heat?
We would add this at a light trace. We do not recommend substituted the water in your recipe for honeyquat.

Honeyquat (Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey) – Crafter's Choice

Honey-Derived Cationic Conditioning Agent for Hair & Skin - Water-Soluble Humectant | Wholesale Supplies Plus

Honeyquat is a naturally derived conditioning agent made from raw honey through a quaternization process, reacting honey with a low molecular weight quaternary derivative to create a water-soluble, positively charged liquid that bonds to hair and skin. If you've been relying on glycerin alone for moisture in your hair care or skin care formulations, Honeyquat is worth a close look.
