CP Soap? Yes!
"I was scared to death this wouldn’t work in cp soap since there were no testing notes or reviews saying it does work. But, I purchased anyway since I had a big fragrance order and this fragrance was requested by a customer. 1. How does it smell? It smells Devine and holds its strong fragrance through CPOP and curing! It’s sweet and graham crackery and smells just like key lime pie. It could use a little more lime zest, but I fixed that with a few drops of lime essential oil. Perfection. I actually used less per pound than I normally would because I was scared of it misbehaving. The scent is amazing through the cp process. 2. I used 80% lard/20% coconut oil. I accidentally soaped at room temperature or slightly above, maybe 80 degrees. No ricing, no acceleration, no discoloration. It behaved perfectly and possibly even slowed trace. Maybe it was the fragrance that slowed my trace, or maybe it was my temperature that slowed trace, but trace was slow. I then started to think it might not harden at all, so I preheated my oven to around 120°, turned it off, and popped it in the oven for about an hour, and it hardened beautifully! 3. Color: It may actually discolor to yellow, but in my case, it actually brightened what was looking like puce green soap which was not the color I was going for. Because the fragrance was bright yellow, it actually did the trick! Everything about this soap is my favorite of the summer. My ONLY complaint is that the lime was so subtle that it had no citrusy “ting” to it. But it definitely smells strong and just like authentic key lime pie after soaping and curing! I’ve never actually left a review at all in my soap career, but somebody has to let y’all know how it performs in cp soap. Nearly perfectly. I’m hard to impress, but I’m a fan of this one!"
