How come the flavor oils are not phthalate free?: All our fragrance and flavor oils are phthalate free.
Is this photo-toxic when used in a lip product?: This flavor oil does contain a small amount of furocoumarins which are phototoxic.
What prevents this from being suitable for other BB product uses?: This is a flavor oil and is designed to be used in lip products. There are no IFRA guidelines to know how much to safely use in other products. If wanting to use a natural lemon, we would recommend using Lemon Essential Oil.
What would you use as a sweetener yet keep these all natural?: You can use Stevia or other natural sweetener from the grocery store. You can also use confectioner's sugar to sweeten the lip balm.
