Staff Answer This can be used in body butter to add color but it may add a slight grittiness as well. This has a very fain scent, and it would not be enough to make the body butter smell lemony.

"I would like to add this product to a liquid soap I made with olive oil, coconut oil, and potassium hydroxide. I did not add a preservative to the soap base. Can I add the lemon powder and do I need to add a preservative as well. "

Staff Answer You can add the lemon powder to your liquid soap. We recommend adding powder to a small amount of soap, mixing well. Then add back to larger batch of soap. You would not need to add a preservative.

Staff Answer Yes, the price is correct. We recently changed the pricing structure of our products. An e-mail was sent out on March 31, 2016 explaining the change but to sum up many of our products decreased in price, but some did increase. Staff Answer The lemon powder is primarily used for the added benefits of being a natural astringent, antiseptic, and bactericide. While it will produces a natural orange to yellow color, it would probably be best to add an additional colorant and FO or EO to achieve a stronger color and scent.

Lemon juice, said to accommodate UV rays of the sun get through and lighten hair, is different from this lemon powder. Lemon powder would not aid or cause lightening of hair when used in a shampoo.

Staff Answer In the product description for this product it states Lemon is a natural astringent, antiseptic, and bactericide. It is thought to help clear the complexion and to smooth out broken capillaries, while clearing greasy and oily skin with pimples and acne. So it should work great with Kaolin Clay in a face mask!

"In cp soap do you dissolve the powder in the water before adding the sodium hydroxide, or add it at light trace? Says it is water soluble, so if no one is for sure, I'll do the dissolving in the water first."

Staff Answer I believe you could add it at either time. Some add natural powders at light trace. The powder will most likely not dissolve completely even when mixed with water, but it might be easier to blend.
