Wonderful Scent

"Lemon Verbena EO FO Blend responded well in my cold process soap recipe. There was no drama. It did turn the soap a light yellow. My friend who received the soap said something unexpected. She raved how the soap cleared her sinuses. She wanted more of the soap for that purpose. I am accustomed to people going on as to the moisturizing, cleansing and fragrance properties. Not opening the sinuses."

Q&A

Gran Risings!!!! Does this product have any color to it or is it clear? The Mango is a slight orange color and I love it!!!!
You can find the oil color of all our fragrance oils on the SDS sheet under section 9. This oil is yellow.
How long is the shelf life?
Fragrances are best used within one year but are still good to use after that time. Certain notes may fade over time and not seem as strong. Keeping in a cool, dark area helps keep the scents longer.
Can you use this fragrance in a candle and if so, how would I calculate how much to use?
This fragrance can be used in candle wax. You would need to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for fragrance load for your particular wax. As with any new fragrance, testing is recommended to be sure the fragrance is compatible with the wax.
I want to add lemon essential oil to my product and this as a fragrance would that be considered too much?
You would need to look at the IFRA levels for the product you are making. For instance, Lemon Essential Oil is safe in soap, body wash, lotions up to 5%.
Is the Lemon Verbena EO & FO Blend 715 photosensitive? Would it be appropriate for a lotion?
This oil does contain 96.2% essential oils so there would probably be some photosensitivity if exposed to sunlight. You can certainly use this in a lotion, but you may want to add a warning note to the label.
