Product Details

Shimmering Light Gold Mica Powder is a cosmetic powder used to color a wide variety of cosmetics. This light gold mica has a color similar to the hue of a traditional wedding ring.

The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

"I have never used mica or any other colorant in my goat milk soap. I would like to use the gold mica for stamping the soap for a special occasion. I need to stamp about 32 bars; the stamp design is just some initials on a 1" square. Only the letters and 1" square outline will be colored. Do you think 2 oz is enough? I know it is probably difficult for you to say.. Thanks for your help. :) "

"I know you changed a few of your micas names a couple years ago. I'm scared of re ordering a mica I already have. I'm fixing to place a big order to complete my mica collection, but I'm scared of repeating a color I already have. Can I get a list on the names of the ones that have been changed? "

"PerfectGold"

COMMENTS: This is a great gold shade, not too brassy or too orange. I mixed it with isopropyl alcohol to drizzle as a “paint” on top of bath bombs. Left a nice shimmer in the water but no obvious color. I used polysorbate 80 in my recipe so it didn’t leave any ring.

"Incredible in CP! "

COMMENTS: I've tried both the shimmering dark gold & shimmering light gold micas in CP, & both look incredibly beautiful in their own unique way! The dark gold produces a more golden honey type color in CP (at a rate of 1tsp/ppo), whereas this light gold (at that same usage rate) remains a more true, metallic, 14k look in CP... It's positively STUNNING! I used TD to color my soap mainly white, but added a whisp of this gold mica in the middle as a subtle contrast, and the look is stunning & elegant! I'm amazed at how true this mica remained in CP, and it was exceptionally easy to work with, pre-mixing with a bit of batch oils, for a flawless, smooth look! The shimmer comes through wonderfully as well, even giving CP a bit of eye-catching sparkle! Just like the dark gold mica, this colorant provides many different uses to add a dash of elegance & charm to one's soapy creations, making it an economical choice to have in one's mica collection! I absolutely ADORE this gorgeous color & will definitely purchase again!

"it wasnt what i wanted"

COMMENTS: I purchased this to make a gold bath bomb and when i was putting my mold together it didn't really make the bath bomb gold like i was hoping for. it just looked yellow. when i used it in the tub it didn't make the water gold looking either just more of a vibrant yellow. This is just my experience.

COMMENTS: This is a very pretty mica but you have to use more than you would expect to get a pretty gold color. It has a pretty shimmer and is quite nice! I used this in my 'Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh' soap.
