Directions

Gently melt the butter if needed and incorporate it into your cold process soap or personal care formula at the desired usage rate, blending thoroughly to ensure even distribution. Add to oils in CP soap before lye is introduced, or stir into lotions, balms, and creams during the oil phase. Always test your final formulation, as different butters can affect texture, hardness, and performance.

What's a good substitute butter for Macadamia butter? Specifically for a lip scrub. Thank you: You can use any of our butter blends in its place, or a softer butter such as mango butter.
Would you say this butter is harder than the refined shea? I don't want to whip the butter but most that aren't whipped are hard to get out of the jar; so, I was looking for something to help the butter be a bit softer upon set...if this isn't a softer butter can you point me to the softer butters please. Thank you.: This is softer than shea butter. All our butter blends are softer because they are blended with hydrogenated vegetable oil.

What wording should I use when labeling my products?: Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil is a process whereby hydrogen is added to an oil to make it solid and spreadable. It is up to you how you want to list this on your label. If you only use INCI names, you would put Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil (and) Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil. If you use Common Names, which is approved by the FDA, you would only need to put Macadamia Butter on your label.
