Marshmallow powder is used to provide a natural botanical element to cosmetic products. This comes in a fine, light powder with a slight aroma. This powder is made from the marshmallow root. It is great for hair care products because it is a natural detangler. It can also be used in soaps, lotions and creams for those with sensitive skin

"I recently used Marshmallow Powder in cp soap. I prepared it in a hot infusion and then strained it a couple of times with a cheese Cloth. I used this for the lye solution. It didnt accelerate quickly, but turned to a thick trace fairly soon. Do you know if this powder has any properties that could accelerate trace? I read it has sucrose, that could help to trace faster? thanks"

COMMENTS: This is a great de-tangler, but my only product is it does discolor your product. Not hugely, but you can tell it is there...kind of brings a dullness to micas. I still use it though.

COMMENTS: I made some whipped body butter for my Husband and added this in to see what effect it gives. It gave a silky effect on the skin. I am pretty sure it was this powder as I used this in the place of Tapioca Starch.
