Works well

"A little goes a long way with this color. It also does a good job holding up to FO’s that discolor in my CP soap."

Strong Color

"This is my first time using mica to color my soap, so I followed the recommendations on the website and the color was super saturated. I also used a lot less than I thought I would. I'm really happy with the results"

Kandyce (4/5)

Beautiful, fun color for lip gloss!

"This powder mixed well in my lipgloss and colored it really well. I used a lot of it in a lipgloss with zinc oxide as well and it gives a really smooth pink that colors the lips well but the consistency stays smooth. I would definitely recommend it!"

Tabetha (5/5)

Closest to a true red that I've gotten so far. . .

"I've been looking for a true RED for CP soap and this one just about does it. Still more of a brick red, not exactly the nice cherry red I hope for, but it's acceptable and the best ""RED"" I've got. I think it makes a very nice swirl effect, and you don't need much. . . too much and you will have what appears to be red clay stains on your hands, sinks and washcloths!"

Kendra (5/5)

BEAUTIFUL, TRUE RED!

"Well, what can I say? I have every mica and glitter than WSP sells. The sparkle ones are breath taking in the clear bases. So, I guess I can say I LOVE THIS! I finally broke down and bought the liquid glycerin (from WSP of course) and it make a world of difference. I had the problem of the micas not mixing well into the melted soap bases, but the glycerin in a life saver. Put some in a dixie cup with the mica, stir well, add it to the soap base, and, perfection! I have had an impossible time trying to get my white M & P base to give me a ""true red"" instead of a dark pink. This definately solves the problem!"

Karen (5/5)

Whoa red!

"This is an amazing red. It takes VERY little to make things red. I actually made too much of an orange by using a dash of this with a yellow. It creates depth in other colors and gives a true red to products. I love it and will continue to use it."

Melissa (5/5)

Awesome red!

"Very nice red - like a brick dark red, not bright red. Only need a little to get a nice color. Easily mixes with some carrier oil."

Thao (5/5)

Nice Red

"This a good red - I mixed in a little neon tutti frutti to make it really pop. Mixed easily with oil and did well in CP."

Adrienne (5/5)

Great Color in Cold Process

"This color holds well in my cold-process soap. Purchased the sample size; will be ordering larger quantity."

Laura (5/5)

A staple product for any soap maker

"This red will last you a lifetime. Well not that long but a little bit goes a very long way"

Q&A

I want a bright bold pigment for a clay mask? Any idea which type of pigment and clay to buy ? And anything to boost the color ?
We recommend tomato powder and rose kaolin clay. You will need to test these.
Are the oxides you carry natural or synthetic?
They use synthetic ingredients.
I purchased this in a 4 oz bag and did not open it. The expiration date on the bag is 10/28/2020 and I was wondering if that is still the date I should consider expired or if it expires a year after it has actually been opened. Also, if I use the colorant now, will the soap then be considered expired by 10/28/2020?
All our products will have a best-used by date. The mica/pigment powders do not actually expire. This date also helps determine batch numbers if there should be a problem with a particular product. Your finished product will have a different best by date, typically one year from date of manufacture.
I want to make colr Nail Acrylic powder. Do I have to use micas or picments for it? Also i want it matte color. Thank you
This is something we have never tested as we do not work with many nail products. From the research I have done, micas and pigments can both be used but you would want to use pigments for a matte finish.
Could you please clarify if the colors contain lead. One answered yes it does, one answered no it does not. Thank you
This pigment does not contain any lead. We have changed suppliers over the years and this pigment powder is free of lead.
