Directions

Gently heat the base in a microwave-safe container on low power in short intervals, stirring until fully liquefied. Avoid overheating. Stir in desired flavor oil or fragrance oil (1–2%). Add mica powder and sweetener if using, ensuring all ingredients are well blended. Carefully pour the mixture into clean, sanitized lip balm containers while still liquid.

"Got the sample liptube. I like how it stays on the lips and yet doesn't feel cakey. I use another lipbalm base currently, but it's great for more frequent general use and thus light and sheer. I find this heavier and will be great for lips that are more drier or for active people. Will be getting this to have two options :D"

"Just wanted to drop you guys a note and say thank you. You sent me a free sample lip balm with my last order and I have been using it on my lips twice a day. They were so chapped, they were peeling and bleeding and NOTHING was working. I tried balms, gloss, oils, butters, and nothing helped. Your lip balm was the only thing that worked, and I am still kind of surprised by it, LOL! I make products with butters and oils, so I am familiar with all the ingredients. I expected your balm to just sit on top of my skin and not do anything really therapeutic for it, but I was wrong! My beloved Squalane helped some, too, I think, but it soaked all the way in while your balm stayed on the surface and softened the cracked skin. So thank you! I really appreciate it! Is this for lip balm tubes for reg Chapstick type application?: This natural base can be used as-is on lips or body, or you can add flavor oil or fragrance, mica powder, and/or sweetener. It can be used in a tube or pot.
Do you know if the Cetearyl alcohol is derived from coconut oil? I am trying to avoid all coconut oils due to some customers having allergies.: Our Cetearyl Alcohol is sourced from sustainable coconut and palm oils.
I have an 8 oz. jar and I want to use this to try and make a skin balm and just add essential oils. Is there a recipe for something like this? what percentage of essentials oils can I add to 8 oz....do I need to heat it to mix the essential oils?: We currently do not have a recipe. For skin balms, essential oils should typically be used at 1-2% concentration of the total formula.
What is the recommended amount of additives? Would it be the same 3% as the flavoring oil?: You can add 1-2 % of flavor oil to a lip balm base
