Milky Way Soap Molds can tolerate temperatures of 135-145 degrees F. Above these temperatures, warping may occur. Soap is easiest to release 12-24 hours after cooling.
Wash molds in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF into mold. Cool until soap has hardened. Remove soap from mold. For easier unmolding, place into freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat mold.
Cold Process Soap: Coat the mold with cooking spray. Pour soap at trace into mold. After 24 hours, flip mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release then pull the soap out of the mold with a gloved hand. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some CP soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Lotion Bars: Pour melted lotion bar mixture into mold cavities at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow mixture to solidify. Flip mold over onto clean surface. Gently push back of mold until lotion bar begins to release then pull bar out of mold.
Bath Fizzies: Tightly pack bath fizzy mixture into each mold cavity. Allow to harden and dry. (For best results, leave in mold overnight). Flip mold over onto clean surface and gently push bath fizzies out of mold.
Care:
Wash in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

COMMENTS: This is a great mold. The only problem I have with it is the design in not raised enough to be very noticeable on the finished bar. I tried everything to try and make it stand out from the bar more but nothing worked. I love the mold but just wish the letters as well as the design were more prominent. We live in an area where there is a huge amount of active duty military in all branches, as well as retired military families. JOINT BASE LEWIS McCHORD. These are awesome for my grandchildren's school fundraisers. The only drawback on all of these Milky Way Military designs are they are not very visible in the finished product. Lettering could be deeper in the mold to make the emblems as well as the lettering to stand out better.

"Detailing is very light"
COMMENTS: Tried several different methods to get this mold to "pop"- but the detailing/impression is so faint no matter what method I tried (opaque soap, light, dark, clear, dusted with mica etc)it didnt matter. I was hoping this would be a good item for the veterans and active duty that we support.

"Beautiful soap mold, but..."
COMMENTS: I was so excited to see military soap molds, but when I made them they were not impressed deep enough to really show the detail unless you look very closely.
