Not Shortbread

"This scent is perfectly fine. It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell like sugar cookies, butter or brown sugar. It doesn't strike me as true Bakery scent. Maybe it would be best in a perfume. I ended up blending it with some lemon curd FO, because it needed a little something extra. I do think you get a slight chemical scent with certain usage rates."

My Favorite Floral

"I have tried lots of florals and several variations of Jasmine, but this is my favorite by far. It isn't overly cloying like most and has some refreshing notes to it. Even my husband likes the scent sniffed straight from the bottle (now that's rare!)."

Not quite NB Jasmine :-(

"Having two Night Blooming Jasmine bushes, I was excited to find this scent. However it doesn't smell near to the deep jasmine scent that the blossoms of my plants put forth. Disappointed that it didn't live up to the description. I am going to relabel my soaps to a general floral scent because I don't want my customers to not get what they think they are getting, as I did."

"This is very strange. It does not remind me of jasmine, but it's floral. It's not perfume like, it's not overwhelming. It's fresh! Yes, it's definitely a very fresh, very clean scent on the floral rather than the greenish side of clean. It is so refreshing that I want to make facial soap with it. I find it fantastic, but of course that's very subjective. On the objective side of the technicalities, it is a winner again. Endless time to work with in CP, sticks really well, and makes a beautiful white bar. I think I can even smell it on my skin."

Q&A

I'm looking for jasmine sambac which is the jasmine that blooms at night, unlike the more common grandiflorum that blooms during the day. I don't care for the grandiflorum and purchased it by mistake. Is this “Night Blooming Jasmine” the scent of jasmine sambac?
This fragrance is a duplicate of the Bath & Body Works version of Night Blooming Jasmine. We do not know if this is designed after a particular type of jasmine flower.
I have been looking for a fragrance that is the same as Bath & Body Works Night Blooming Jasmine. I realize that that spray had more ingredients, but how close is this scent? I'd like to make a body spray like the B&BW spray. How would I make a body spray out of the oils and how much oil do I add? And to what? I am desperate. All the old B&BW sprays that I stocked up on have turned to alchohol. No scent. I can't use any of their creams and lotions due to nut allergies (all nuts). Thanks so much!
