Great to work with

"Mica incorporates well and a little goes a long way"

Liesa S. (5/5)

I love this beautiful green

"I love it! It is a verry pretty green with a nice shimmer and it does good in CP soap. I love it but won't be buying it again. I bought it on sale before the price hike and no matter how much I like it,it is not worth $19 for a 2 oz jar."

Theresa (5/5)

Lovely color

"I used 1/3 tsp of this in a 2 lb bath bomb batch and got a lovely pale yellow, which is what I was going for. I added it to my oils before pouring into my batch and it colored evenly and didn't speckle. No staining or color ring when I tested a bath bomb. Can't wait to use it for a brighter yellow product as well."

Q&A

How much powder did you add per pound of oil to get the yellow you have pictured in cold process soap?
The powdered colors were added at about 1/2 tsp. per 8 oz. of soap.
How much glycerin would I mix with a nutone sample size colorant to make a bottle of liquid colorant? How much alcohol would I mix with a nutone sample size colorant to make a bottle of liquid colorant?
This is something you will need to test. It will depend on how concentrated you want the liquid. You can start with 2 oz of liquid. Add 1/4 teaspoon to start. If you want a deeper color, then add more powder.
I have a 2-part question. Can I mix 2 bath bomb safe mica colors in glycerin and store it in a plastic bottle for later use and second, can I add pigment (black and white - also bath bomb safe) to Micas for a darker/lighter tone, or do the two not play nice with each other.
Yes, you can mix mica with glycerin for later use. You may need to shake the bottle before each use. You will need to test adding the pigments with the micas. The black may just overpower the mica so you do not see the color at all.
Do NuTone colorants migrate in melt & pour soaps?
NuTone colors do not migrate in MP soap.
Are the NutTones UV Fade resistant?
The NuTone colors should not fade in your product.
