"I was reading the allergen documentation and noticed there were three ingredients: coumarin, benyzl alcohol and benyzl benzoate. At the bottom of the page it notes that anytime a rinse-off product has >0.01% concentration of these ingredients that they must be included in the ingredients label. Can you tell me what this means? Where in the ingredient label is it to appear and should there be any warning labels included as well? "

"Using the fragrance calculator, 4% is recommended for bath salts. I used that amount and the salts dont dry when left out on a baking sheet in a single layer. In fact, they don't dry at 2% either. At 2% I don't feel the scent is strong enough. Either way, they don't dry and I live in a very dry climate. I'm talking really wet, not at all dry to the touch. How can i make this work? Thanks!"

Staff Answer Flash Point is the lowest temperature at which a liquid will generate enough vapor to ignite when exposed to a source of ignition such as a spark or flame. Flash points below 100º F require special storage and handling because they can ignite with static, sparks or the flame of things such as a hot water tank or stove top.

The flash point is the temperature at which the oils will ignite; so yes... you would want to be concerned/aware of :)

yes you want to be concerned, if you over insulate a CP soap that has an FO with a low flash point, it could create heat tunnels in your soap.

To get an accurate assessment of what a fragrance/essential oil will smell like, it has been my experience to experiment with each fragrance out of the bottle. Oils do change slightly with different applications. I've had oils that I did not prefer in the bottle, but loved in a lotion or finished soap. The 2oz size is a perfect sample size to get a true sense of a new fragrance/essential oil.

To be quite honest and blunt: I wait for sales and order 2oz bottles of FOs or EOs that I've never used before. I smell them in and OUT of the bottle and the same with in the product. That is the best way to sample at a good price.

When your order exceeds a certain $$ amount, you have the opportunity receive free samples of either colorants or fragrance oils. That is a great time to try new fragrance oils. The smallest size WSP offers is a 2oz for an average of $5 they are almost the only size I purchase (I make lotions so it will last for a while.) even with soap though, for SURE you will get 2 batches maybe more. (all that said, I have lately been wishing that WSP offered 1 oz bottles just so you could TRY it and not end up wasting it.)

"I used this FO with the Oatmeal soap base, I didn't realize in the description it also says almonds. I have a customer who is allergic to almonds, but since this is a FO, would that mean it's just fragrance, not real oil from almonds? "My absolute fave"

COMMENTS: I just went through all my scents, from WSP and others (there are many… Ahem) , and this is number 1. It never fails to thrill me each and every time. It just feels so good. "Doesn't Smell Like Oatmeal Milk And Honey"

COMMENTS: I received this fragrance oil today and I used it in a batch of oatmeal goats milk and honey bases all used from wsp.. it did not the have smell I expected. It was more of a strong synthetic almond scent .. didn't smell like oatmeal at all. Will keep trying the different oatmeal fragrance until I find the perfect one.

"Scent"

COMMENTS: So the scent smells like sweet cherries, there’s a small hint of vanilla but no milk or oatmeal. It’s not a terrible smell, but I wasn’t looking for a cherry scent. It would be great to have small samples offered at a smaller price so we aren’t buying bottles of product we may not use!

"Smells nothing like Oatmeal, Milk & Honey?"

COMMENTS: I am very disappointed with the Crafter’s Choice Oatmeal, Milk & Honey ORIGINAL Fragrance Oil 105. It does not smell like any of those Notes but instead, smells more like a strong Chemical Cherry Almond Fragrance with strong Ethanol or Alcohol Tones to it. I do not like it & will be donating it to my Local Thrift Store. If you like Jergens Original Cherry Almond Body Lotion, that this Fragrance Oil fits right into that for many who do in fact like that type of Scent/Fragrance Oil in their Products.

"Great scent for soaps made with oats."

COMMENTS: This scent is a must have for soaps made with oats. I make a few different bars scented with Oatmeal, Milk & Honey. Each one very unique in shape. Customers love them all! I keep the design pretty simple...no colorants. There is plenty of time to add colors with swirls since it does not accelerate trace, but I let the scent and natural discoloring speak for itself. The oil does discolor to a super nice shade of tan which works great with my design. I love that the bottle lid is taped on all WSP oils to prevent leakage in shipping!

"AMAZING fragrance...soaps beautifully!"

COMMENTS: This FO is a dream to work with. I think it actually slows trace? I have plenty of working time to do swirls galore. Several people have left negative reviews regarding the almond scent. It does have almond, but I expected that. The description says it does, but I the almond is beautifully blended in, and is not overpowering IMO. Love it....customers love it too.

"Smells great - but more almond than OMH"

COMMENTS: I love this fragrance, but it wasn't what I was looking for as far as oatmeal milk and honey. It smells primarily of almond to me. I did read the description regarding almond notes, but it's HEAVILY almond. It's still a very lovely fragrance and I will continue to use it - I may market it as Oatmeal, Almond milk, & Honey so my customers realize there will be a heavy almond scent.

A customer favorite, a dream to work with, does not accelerate, but does discolor to a very soft tan - which I like and incorporate into my cold process soap. This scent has been a customer favorite for years! It does have a soft almond smell, but for me and my customers, that is the best part of it!

"Pleasant, Soft Scent"

COMMENTS: This FO is a lovely soft scent in my ground oat/buttermilk CP soap. It discolors to a light tan, so I don't need to add mica to turn it a more oatmeal color. Smells a little like almond.

"Tried and true"

COMMENTS: This is definitely the best version of Oatmeal, Milk & Honey out there. I just love it. I find it to have a bit of an almondy type undertone to it, as well as the notes of its name, which I adore. Even my 14 year old son loves this one! I used it to make whipped soap and had no problems (didn't expect any). It didn't take much to scent my batch, the scent retention is great. I have nothing but good things to say about this fragrance oil, and I highly recommend you try it!

	"smells like that cheap pink liquid soap"
COMMENTS: I was expecting something totally different than what I received. This smell is horrible and smells exactly like that hot pink soap they use in elementary schools. I did not care for this scent. I thought it was just me but it just smells overly sweet and just off. I don't recommend buying this in a huge amount. I'm happy I only bought 2 ounces because its basically useless .
