I absolutely love this fragrance!

"I absolutely love this fragrance! I used it in cold processed soap and had no issues at all. The scent holds through cure beautifully. It doesn’t smell of beer, just warm, lovely oatmeal. I will be buying more! I did use dark brown micas."

Oatmeal Stout

"Always a favorite of both men & women, and a wonderful scent!"

Agree with the very fast acceleration!

"I hand blended it in and once it was well mixed, I poured it into the mold. However, it started seizing before it was completely poured. I did mix it just passed emulsion also. It's a pain, but really worth the hassle. The scent it amazing. Not like Guinness at all, but a warm lovely oatmeal smell."

Accelerates like crazy, but worth it

"This fragrance oil smells great in the bottle, sweet, oat-y, with a hind note of beer. Sweeter than I expected, but very nice. I made two 2 oz sample bars, holy acceleration Batman! I had read reviews so I moved quickly, with a cold process soap. Mixed fragrance in last, 4 or 5 quick stirs, poured into the mold. It took about 10 seconds to start thickening, and was soap on a stick within 18 seconds. It heated from 92 degrees to 157 degrees F in about 2 minutes, and put itself through gel phase. Crazy fast. I plan on using this in hot process soap moving forward, but wanted a couple of test bars. Not sure how the fragrance holds, I wish it was a tad bit stronger. But I love the scent and am back to get more for an oatmeal bar. It is morphing to a light chocolate brown in less than 24 hours, and I expect it may get darker."

BE CAREFUL. TEST IT IN A SMALL BATCH FIRST.

"I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing this fragrance oil. I didn't test it with my recipe before making a full batch as I had used the fragrance several years back without issue. Then it disappeared for a long while. I was so excited to see it again, I jumped right in making a full batch. SHAME ON ME. Probably both my recipe and the manufacturer changed over time. Unfortunately with my recipe I am with the camp that had horrible acceleration. And I mean horrible. I hadn't event stirred it in yet when I could tell that it was getting SOLID, like concrete. I had trouble even getting the soap in the bottom of the pot to move at all. I finally broke it up in chunks and prayed as I pounded it into the molds with the palms of my gloved hands and slammed the molds on the concrete floor several times hoping to have it set up without major holes. I have been soaping 22 years and NEVER had an experience like this. IT SMELLS REALLY GOOD, like beer maybe not, even though I used a full bottle of Guinness in it. So PROCEED WITH CAUTION. PROBABLY NOT A GOOD CHOICE for a beginner soap maker."

Seized immediately

"I read the reviews and there were more positives than negatives with the negatives being acceleration. Well this fragrance oil smells great. Unfortunately in my cold process soap it seized immediately. I would not recommend this for cold process soap."

"Wonderful scent! Seized immediately :-("

Oatmeal stout

"The oatmeal stout honestly doesn't smell like the beer at all but it does have a really niceToasted oats scent. I will use it in a candle. I was looking for more of a strong grain mash scent that is there when making the beer."

Samona (4/5)

Amazing scent

"My customers love this scent! Its homey and warm and sweet. Soaps really well with either HP or CP. The only problem occurs,,,when you run out!"

Sandy (5/5)

Still one of my best sellers

"I use it in hot process and cold process soap making and it does well in both. I see that people state it accelerates in cold process but I haven't experienced that at all, and I have been using it well over a year. Maybe the recipe in combination with the FO? Great scent retention and I sell our every-time. I add honey, stout beer and goat milk for water replacement. Yummy!"
