Q&A

Can this butter be used for a sugar lip scrub similar to the cranberry butter?
This product is safe for lip products.
Is this butter same as carrot or papaya butter
No, these are not the same. It could probably be swapped out for one of those in a recipe though, depending on what you are naking.
What vegetable oil is in it?
This is propriety information from our supplier.
If I wanted to use this in making CP soap, how would I enter this in the Lye Calculator as there isn't a selection for Orange Butter?
The SAP value is 175-200. You would need to find a butter that has a similar SAP and plug that into your calculator such as Aloe Butter which has a .179 SAP value.
Is there a risk of phototoxicity as there is with the lemon butter? What about the orange butter? Thanks in advance for your help.
Since the percent of ingredients is proprietary, we cannot know for sure how much lime or orange oils are in this butter. It might be best to not use this in lip products because of the potential for phototoxicity.
