Q&A

How many times can you melt palm oil
There isn't really a specific number of times you can remelt. However, there are some considerations. You want to make sure you are not overheating the palm oil. You just need to get it to a fluid state. Unless you are using no-stir palm oil, you will need to melt the entire batch and mix everything together before using it. Some will actually melt the larger amount and break it down into smaller portions for later use, so they don't have to remelt each time they want to use it.
How do you melt the bucket?
You can place this in a warm water bath to melt.
Hello, How is your 1 LB palm oil packaged (bottle, pail, microwaveable package)? Thanks for your help.
It is packaged in a HDPE bottle.
Can palm oil be used instead of the flakes when making wax melts? If not can palm be left out and just use beeswax?
No, this is not an even substitution. You can use beeswax, but the melt point may very.
I am a beginner and didn't know that the palm oil needed to melted and stir. There was no direction on the 32 oz bottle I received and have used 11 oz's of it. Is it still usable or should I throw it out? Also, on the palm oil no stir.... does that have to be melted and stirred also?
There is a good chance that what you have left will be high in stearic and cause spots in your soap. It would be best to buy more and mix that in with the new batch. The Palm Oil - No Stir is specially made that it does not need to me melted and stirred before use.

Palm Oil – Crafter's Choice

Palm oil is one of the most widely used and trusted base oils in soap making, and for good reason. Known as a reliable workhorse among the best oils for soap, it contributes hardness, stability, and a rich, fluffy lather to both cold and hot process formulations. Crafter's Choice Palm Oil is a natural, unrefined oil and the largest natural source of tocotrienol — a member of the Vitamin E family — making it a valued addition to any serious formulator's ingredient lineup. When melted, it takes on a deep orange color, a natural characteristic of unrefined palm. Whether you're producing small-batch artisan bars or sourcing bulk oils for soap making at a commercial scale, this is an ingredient built for consistent, professional results.
