This can be used in a shower gel. However, we do not have experience or knowledge making the type of product you are developing so you will have to do research and/or contact a physician to see whether that is recommended.

Yes, you can mix the Peppermint EO with water and use in a diffuser.

How much to use for a 42 oz soap loaf?

We have a fragrance formulator that can help you determine this. Simply choose the product you want to make. Mark Essential oil for the oil being used. Then, type in the essential oil you want to use. Add the ounces of your batch and hit calculate. For a 42 oz. loaf, this will give you a recommended amount at 5% of 2.10 ounces. Hi WSP - you guys are great ! Can you tell me if the tingle feeling is lost in the saponification of CP soap ?

You do still get the great smell of Peppermint in the soap but you may not feel a tingle as you would when putting directly on the skin.
