"I want to try or at least attempt to add a 40% Grain Alcohol Tincture to some Carrier Oils for a beneficial, homemade Moisturizer but want to make sure that both the 40% Alcohol Tincture combines well with the Carrier Oils & becomes a balanced Product without the Oil & Liquid Separation in the final result. Is the Polysorbate 80 the correct Product for this attempt/use?"

"I'm formulating a body wash/shower gel that'll consist of Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Cocamidoproply Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum and a few other ingredients. I want to add a carrier oil as well such as mango butter. I understand that I will need some sort of emulsifier to bind the carrier oil with the water and other ingredients. Will Polysorbate 80 work for this or will I need to use something else? If so, should the percentage used be equal to the amount of carrier oil?"

"Works as advertised"
COMMENTS:  Keeps colors and oils from sticking around in the tub after bath bombs. I use at about half of my oils (30g oil. 10-15g poly80). It is very thick. But each capful is about 8g. That's probably not the PC way of measuring it, but works better than accidentally pouring too much into the oils.

"Does the Job Well"
COMMENTS:  Performs well, helps colors disperse in bath fizzies. Also works great to help activated charcoal leave less of a ring in the tub and rinse cleaner when used in bath products, including scrubs. As this poly 80 is thick, a dispenser lid would be handy (I purchased 16 oz). Its a typical bottle mouth which makes it difficult to poor a small amount and its so thick a pipette doesn’t work. I recommend pouring into a small container with a pour spout before adding to full recipe if using less than an ounce, to make sure you don’t over pour.

"Perfect addition"
COMMENTS:  I put the Polysorbate 80 in my Christmas bath bombs so that I didn't make parents have to wash out the bath tub every time their children took a bath and used their Christmas gifts. I have not had anyone yelling at me for more a mess in the tub and rings they can't get off, so I guess it worked. I didn't have any bath bombs left over so I wasn't able to test a bomb myself. I am basing this review off feedback from people who received gifts containing the Polysorbate 80. I believe it will be a while before I need more, but Wholesale Supplies Plus actually has the best price I was able to find on it. So if you are on the fence, get it. It doesn't take much so make sure you know how much your recipe is going to call for first. I have a whole lot left over and no idea when I am going to use it again.

"No ring around the tub!"
COMMENTS:  I did so much research before deciding to use this in my bath bombs. When trying to nail down a recipe I was reading about this mysterious (to me) ingredient. After understanding how it should keep my oil and micas I use in my bath bombs dispersed I knew I needed to try it. I also didn't realize that it also makes it easier to clean the bathtub after because so much doesn't stick around the tub.

"Great for emulsifying oils and oil soluble coloran"
COMMENTS:  This has worked great in my bombs when I use micas. I also use a touch at times to emulsify the oils in my bath bombs even when I am using water soluble dyes. It does make those bombs feel slightly less moisturizing though so depending on what you are looking for in your bombs you may want to use it or skip it if you don't need it for your colorants.
