Love this product

"I bought this product to for my husband in his shaving mug. He loves it! It lathers great, leaves his skin soft. No need to add scent - love the honey smell. Would recommend."

My first review on this site. . . .

"This is my first review on this site and not because I'm a first time shopper here - but more that I really love this melt and pour base and wanted to review it. When cut - it's a little more sticky in the center than other melt/ pour bases but the feel, the scent, and the lather is incredible. I made Oatmeal, Milk, & Honey - honeycomb bars, massage bars, sugar scrub cubes, and bath truffles with this and WSP Oatmeal soap base - I didn't need to add scent to the honey ale beer portion as it has it's own wonderful scent that adds something so special to the oatmeal, milk, & honey. I will forever keep this in stock!!"

Great!

"I wanted to try this base because of the appeal. I do mainly CP soap but dabble with MP. This base smells great on it's own. I did a fragranced batch but I may just use as is and not fragrance. The soap itself has a great lather and feel and very little sweating! I'm here now to buy more!"

Q&A

Is this safe for pets?
We would recommend talking to your veterinarian to see if the ingredients are safe for pets.
I've made quite a few batches of soap with this base (which I LOVE!) adding just a bit of fragrance oil. I always get consistently clear bars. However, this latest batch all came out cloudy, although I didn't change a thing in my recipe or process. The only difference I can think of is that my drying rack is near a vent which is now blowing air conditioning as the weather has recently gotten warm. Could the cooler temps in my shop be the problem?
The air conditioner blowing on your soap may be the same as placing the soap in the refrigerator. This can cause cloudiness in your soap. If you are sure you are not using any different fragrance that might cause the soap to be cloudy, you can try moving the soap away from the vent and see if that might help.
How does this base work with colors? I was thinking about a gold, black, and red.
The only color you may have difficulty with would be the red. Since the soap is already a golden color, it can be made a darker gold. Adding black should come out fine. You may need to experiment getting a shade of red.
Is this legal to sell in a storefront since it will not be consumed? This may be a silly question but I just wanted to make sure before I place it on my display rack. Thanks!
Yes, this is legal to sell in your storefront. The natural chemical reaction of making soap alters the beverage alcohol from its original form making it legal to sell the end product.
Any suggestions on fragrance oils for this base?
Actually, this soap has an awesome scent by itself. There is fragrance already added. You could add a very small amount of something spicy, possibly a pumpkin or clove but we would recommend smelling the soap first. You may find it's great as is!
