"Weird Morph over time..."
COMMENTS: OOB this smells great. But in my formula of cp soap, it morphed after a month or two into a really weird gramma's bad powder scent. It was the weirdest thing. Nothing like the original OOB... but scent is very subjective.

"YUMMY SCENT BUT DIDN'T STICK"
COMMENTS: The scent of this FO is warm and sweet and very nice for fall -- not overly spiced. Unlike a lot of pumpkin FOs, this one has a relatively low vanilla content which we like to use instead of adding stabilizer in our recipes to cut down on darkening. This FO behaved very well in CP recipe; the initial color it gave our soap batter was a light yellow, but after just two weeks of curing, the color has toned down to a nice tan. The only BIG drawback we have found is that the scent strength of this FO has already begun to fade after just two weeks of curing. We will try using in a recipe that contains clay next time. We already used the max IFRA amount in the first test batch.

COMMENTS: Great fall scent that ISNT your typical “pumpkin spice”! My kids think it’s more a butterscotch or Carmel than a pumpkin...definitely not an overwhelming pumpkin smell, which is what I wanted! Looking forward to trying it in my soap!!!

"Awesome pumpkin scent for fall! "
COMMENTS: This FO came with a few surprises for me, but overall, it most certainly deserves a five star rating! I purchased this FO with hesitancy, as personally I don't care for pumpkin/pumpkin spice scents at all (I know, I'm one of those crazy people!), but when fall comes around customers really clamor for it! I chose this specific FO based on the previous review... I don't care for the smell of cinnamon, as I feel it tends to dominate whatever it's blended with, so when I read that this was a classic pumpkin scent WITHOUT the overbearing cinnamon, I knew it was the FO for me! I was not disappointed! OOB, it smells like the perfect blend of pumpkin & cardamom, and it's just a very well-rounded, yummy fall aroma! I soaped relatively cool (lye sol. @ 90°F and fats/oils at 100°F), and experienced some pretty moderate acceleration. However, I don't blame this entirely on the FO, as I used a fast-moving recipe containing castor, kaolin clay, colloidal oatmeal & a water discount. Even though my soap batter set up FAST as soon as I incorporated the FO, it was still workable & I was able to execute the design I was intending. Another surprise was that this FO REALLY warmed up, and even though I soaped cooler & didn't insulate, my soap went through a complete gel phase! I'm not complaining however, as the look of it is quite lovely! So even though this FO came with a few surprises, for the most part, they were pleasant ones, and I would absolutely purchase this one again! The smell is so delicious & accurate, that I can work around the acceleration & just use a slower-moving recipe next time! Don't let my review discourage you from giving this FO a try, as the recipe I used was most certainly the main culprit for the acceleration, and if you want to avoid gel phase, soap cool & maybe pop your mold in the fridge for a little bit once poured.

COMMENTS: If you are looking for the perfect pumpkin FO this is it!! I cannot express my enthusiasm enough!! I have been looking for a yummy pumpkin fo since I started soaping. Every fall I try out a few pumpkin fo's and am never happy with them.....either they lose their scent, turn brown, or in the end only smell like cinnamon. This fo reminds me of a yankee candle. Zero Cinnamon smell...100% sweet yummy pumpkin. And the best part is that the vanilla content is less than 2%. So I colored my soap a brighter orange hoping that the small amount of vanilla would tone it down to a muted pumpkin orange color. Bingo. It looks beautiful.....and smells fantastic. Not sure about retention yet. Its too soon to tell that but performance was fantastic. Extremely slow acceleration. I am going to make a pumpkin soap pie with this one. THE BEST PUMPKIN FO EVER! Bravo WSP!! Well done!!
