Reviews

nice bar size

"This is a pretty nice loaf mold; I like that the sides are self-supporting and do not bow when filled or empty. Easy to clean, and fits my partitions perfectly! A must-have for new soapmakers and old hats alike."

Nice mold!

"I'm really happy with this mold, it's far better than my hacked up home made soap box. One caveat, don't believe that it is for 40 ounces, I think my calculations came out to 28, so make sure you calculate your recipe for that. It releases easily, no problems there. I really like the size of the soap I get too. Definitely prefer this one to the plastic ones at the big box craft store."

Patricia (5/5)

Most Used Mold

"I have a lot of molds but this one is the most used and my very favorite mold. The sides of the soap are super glossy and the soap pops right out. I just pull the sides away and give a little push on the mold bottom. If I could only have one soap mold, this would be it."

Anita (5/5)

Excellent mold!

"I have purchased several of these molds and they are holding up well so far. I had some trouble with the older green ones splitting at the corners, but these seem to flex more. The soaps are ""glossy"" when unmolded and are prone to fingerprints, so gloves are a must!"

Angie (5/5)

Fantastic quality and ease of use.

"Will hopefully be purchasing more of these for melt and pour soap. The silicone is not flimsy in the least, and checking to see if loaves are ready to be unmolded is quite simple. Absolutely no problems so far, as the loaf comes out perfectly rectangular."

Great Silicone Mold

"I didn't want to bother with lining molds and thanks to this mold, I don't have to! The dimensions are great, there's no bowing, and cleanup is easy. I've used it 3 times thus far and it's so sturdy, I'm sure it'll last a long time. I haven't added sodium lactate to my recipe and haven't had any problem unmolding. I do use shea butter in all my recipes though so that helps."

Toushea (5/5)

AMAZING

"So far, these are my favorite silicone loaf molds! I love that they do not bow out in the center and therefore make a perfectly shaped soap loaf! I also love that they are semi-translucent which is perfect when doing designs &/or layering! I will continue to purchase these as long as I'm making soaps."

Elizabeth (5/5)

Keeper

"Fantastic mold! The sides are rigid so there is no bowing and no need to reinforce the mold to get nice rectangular bars. The mold is small, but that makes it the perfect size for the hobbyist or the soaper trying out a new technique. If you wrap the mold in towels you can still get full gel and the soap pops out easily. Once you play around with gently prying the sides all you have to is push on the bottom and the soap pops right out. This mold is a keeper!"

Margaret (5/5)

OMG! Great loaf mold for the price!

"As soon as I got the mold I knew it was a keeper. I like to use silicone molds since I do CPOP for my soaps, so I can only use my wooden molds with silicone inserts. I've been using a one pounder, but was looking for a slightly larger one. This is perfect for your smaller batches. The sides are awesome. The results are perfect. No trouble unmolding. I love how I can see thru the mold. When the larger one is available I will be ordering that one. The price is perfect and the quality is great. It produces the perfect size bars for my new soap boxes. Oh and I love the straight sides and corners. Thanks for a affordable great mold!"

Great Molds

"These Molds are very sturdy and high quality, the soap came out great. I wish these molds came in the larger size also."

Q&A

what size are the bars after being cut please? I am looking for the mold for the bigger pieces of soap instead of the standard size that comes from teh amazon loaf mold.
Bars are 3.5 x 2.5 x 1 would give you 8 bars at 5.5 ounces per bar.
Do the sides of this mold bow and need support when filled with soap? Or can you use it by itself?
Crafter's Choice Regular Silicone Loaf Mold is reinforced with extra silicone along the sides to prevent bowing. You can use the mold by itself/without support.
My mica stained my mold. Soap and water did not remove the stains. Any suggestions on how I remove the stains?
If soap and water doesn't work we have no suggestions. However, it will not affect the soap made in the mold.
How many solid ounces of melt and pour soap does this mold hold?
This holds about 44 oz of soap.
Hello, I have this mold and I use it for melt and pour, I want to try cold process. Can I use this mold for both? Or do I need to buy a new one for cold process and keep them separate?
Yes, you can use this mold for any type of soap making you would like! Just make sure it is washed well before each batch.
