Product Details

Ruby Red Glitter consists of aluminum free, precision cut polyester particles. Resistant to solvents, water, UV rays. Maximum temperature exposure 275º F. Not recommended for eye contact. Size: 0.008".

Common Uses:
Accenting Cosmetics.

Points of Interest:
Precision cut particles that provide sparkle and embellishment to products. Style and size of glitter cut provides super sparkle reflections. Excellent in body lotions, body glitter and clear mp soap. Not approved for eye contact. Free of minerals and pigments.

Do not use standard craft glitter in your cosmetics as the particle size is generally too large. While there is no government regulation for the particle size that can be used in cosmetics, the cosmetic industry standard is 0.004" and 0.008". These smaller sizes will lessen your liability in the event a cosmetic with glitter gets into an eye and there is an eye injury.

"I'm going to make some body oil for Valentine's Day and I'd like to make them special, so I was thinking of adding something to them. I thought red glitter would be pretty. Will this work or do you have another recommendation or idea??"

COMMENTS: In my melt and pour soap this appeared more like fine red sugar granules rather than glitter. It is still pretty but I didn't get the sparkle I was hoping for so I sprayed iridescent glitter along with the red for some sparkle. I plan to use it for bath bombs tomorrow so I'm eager to see how that will turn out.

"Lovely shade of red"

COMMENTS: I was making red holly berries for the top of my soap but the red turned out very faded. I was very unhappy. Then I remembered the sample pack of this glitter. I threw the glitter and the berries in a bag and shook them together. The result was beautiful, sparkling berries. I know this glitter helped me sell all 36 bars at one show. Will buy again, but a big jar.

COMMENTS: This is great for adding a little sparkle to my M&P soaps. I use it in WSPs crystal clear base. Be sure to let the base cool to almost pudding like texture or buy the suspension soap base so that the glitter won't pool at the top/bottom of your soaps.

COMMENTS: I love the ruby red sparkle of this additive. Reminds me of Dorothy's red slippers from the Wizard of Oz! I mixed it with some clear MP soap base to make some twinkling stars, and they turned out beautiful! It mixes easily in bases, and no clumping at all.
