If you're Melt and Pour soap, the entire creation should be wrapped. This will help the bar from shrinking and will also hold in the fragrance.

If you are making MP soaps, it's recommended that the entire bar be wrapped to prevent sweating, however, if you are making CP soaps, you can try shrink wrap bands rather than bags.

It's best to fully wrap your soaps, to keep them fresh. Maybe make a sample bar to keep unwrapped for customers to smell?

A lot of soapers will have out one small sample bar for customers to smell. You can even use soap scraps that you might normally not sell and just label them by scent That way your regular inventory will stay fresh without being handled by too many people. Another option are the small cardboard soap boxes that have a window cut out for sniffing. They are more expensive though.

"When your done shrink wrapping your soap can you cut off the part you taped down? Or will that make a hole in the package? I watched the video but she left the taped parts alone after she finished shrink wrapping them, i don't really want that on my soaps if i decide the shrink wrap them. So do you leave them or can you get rid of them for a cleaner look?"

Staff Answer If you remove the taped parts after shrinking the bag you will end up with a hole in your wrapping that will allow air to reach your finished product. If you would like to cover up the tape, we suggest placing your label over it. Or we have stickers that are embossed with the word 'Handcrafted'. These can be used as well to cover the tape. I just slide my bar into the package and seal with the heat gun, if you point the heat gun at the ends where it looks "messy" it usually melts nicely. I never have had to trim any excess wrapper off. (if you have excess maybe consider getting smaller sized bags.) Hope this helps!

Instead of cutting it, you could try heat sealing it. Many people simply use an old iron and slide it across. That will seal the plastic so that when it's shrinked, there's no excess left over or needing to be taped.

Yes... You can cut them down to fit any sized product you want. Just be sure to tape the open edge before hitting it with the heat gun.

Staff Answer Keep in mind that these are bags with only one open side. If you were to cut any of the other sides (other than the open end) it would no longer have the sealed edges.

I have ordered larger sized bags (to save money), then cut and heat sealed the open end to make two bags. You can purchase a heat sealer on eBay for not too much. Some folks just use an old iron.

Wrap the soap in a paper towel and slide the soap in with the paper towel on it and then pull the paper towel out and it's left mark free !!! Hope this helps !!! :D

I tend to wrap my soaps in a piece of wax paper and slip it into the bag and then take the wax paper out. The wax paper is very slippery so it eases in and out without a problem. Hope this helps and saves you time.

We slip our bars into the bag as much as possible, then grabbing the sides... shake, shake, shake your booty and they slide the rest of the way down! After you hit the bags with a heat gun, finger prints and smudges are less visible.

I followed the advice I read on this site about shrinking the decorative or top of the soap first to avoid wrinkles, then flipped it over and did the back and the sides. "Perfect for standard size soaps! "

COMMENTS: I originally purchased these shrink bags thinking they'd be the perfect size to package my high-top soaps, but they didn't fit. Totally no worries though, because I came back & purchased the 6×6 shrink bags, and those fit my high-top bars wonderfully! Nothing ever goes to waste though, and I found these particular bags fit my 3.5"×2.5"×1" bars perfectly! I slide them in on their side, use an impulse sealer to seal off the excess at the open end, then use a heat gun to get a professional & secure seal! The bars look great, and it offers excellent protection during shipping! This "oops" purchase will be one I make again, as I enjoy using WSP's 102mm×102mm open-ended shrink bands for craft shows (so that others can smell the bars at the open ends), but for shipping purposes, these bags are perfect for ensuring my soaps arrive in the same great condition as when they were shipped! If you're looking for a shrink bag for high-top bars, definitely go with WSP's 6×6 shrink bags for that, but for a standard size bar, these do the job perfectly! The bags are wonderfully sturdy & effortlessly shrink down to a tight seal with a heat gun. I'm glad my "mistake" purchase turned into a wonderful advantage that I'll use often! The price & quality are both outstanding!

COMMENTS: It took some practice to get the hang of getting smooth edges and to keep from losing so many, but now that we've gotten it figured out, we have very little to no waste. The finished product looks much nicer than a cello bag tied off with raffia. I do still have trouble getting nice edges when wrapping various shapes rather than a typical bar cut from a loaf. Also, the wrappers tend to lose their snugness on my wrapped soaps after a while. They're still sealed and wrapped, of course, but the tight polished look is effected. I will still use these since I am overall pleased. I also like the 6x6 size for my taller bars.

	"4x6 Shrink Wrap Bags"
COMMENTS: My wand with roll of shrinkwrap system broke. I always hated it, so I looked for alternatives. These shrink bags are my first alternative and I love them! So much easier to work with than the darn wand. The plastic is thicker than what you might be used to, so only strong fragrances will come through. To overcome that, I use a hole punch on the bag before I put the soap into it. Next, another reviewer suggested this (sorry I can't give credit) if you are putting an MP bar into the bag, wrap the bar in paper and slip it into the bag otherwise it will be very difficult. I close the opening of the bag with my impulse sealer and cut off the excess which I then use on my tins. I use Avery labels and I have had no problem with them sticking. My MP soaps are odd shapes and these bags work very well.

COMMENTS: These are perfect for my loaf mold soaps. Also works for the large ball soaps, although it is a tight squeeze - but it works! My old hair dryer is good enough to shrink the wrap. Tip - wrap your soap in a piece of regular paper, and use that to slide your soap into the bag, then pull the paper out. Or, roll paper into a loose tube and insert it into the bag, then drop soap into the paper roll, and then slide paper out. It prevent soap drag marks, and it's the ONLY way that I can get the round balls into the bags!

COMMENTS: I bought these for my bath bombs and melt & pour soaps. I used my food saver to seal the bags and a heat gun to shrink them. They worked as expected with no product problems. Helpful Hint: Be sure to hold your heat gun further away, on a low heat so you don't accidentally melt your bag. I made that mistake a few times. I learned it's a common mistake.

COMMENTS: I have been using these to seal my oval bars of soap which I knew would be a challenge when I ordered these. After much practice I finally found that if I cut the 2 corners still showing off once I have taped the open end closed and begin shrinking it from the sealed end of the bag where I taped it down then turn the soap around and shrink from the end where I cut the two corners off, then flip over and shrink the back, it turns out very professional and nice. I then remove the scotch tape and add my own label to the back which gives the soap name, ingredients, and weight. I feel these will work great on my rectagle bars and square bars once I get to packaging them. Much better than the non shrink bags I was forced to use previously.

COMMENTS: I use these bags to wrap bath bombs. They are easy to use and I just tie with a bit of ribbon. Easy way to protect bath bombs from hands of potential customers while still allowing them to smell the product. Sometimes when I receive these they have small pin sized burn holes in them as if they were hit by a spark. Although this doesn't affect the way I use these it can make them difficult to separate which is why I gave it a less than excellent rating.

COMMENTS: I have never used shrink wrap before. I was amazed how easy it was to use. So simple. I use my hair dryer and these work so quick, it makes getting the job done, so much easier.

COMMENTS: These are great. Very easy to use. Shrink perfectly around 3.5 x 2 bar of soap (4.5 oz). I put soap in the long way and trim a bit of excess off top. No problems when using them. Labels stick well and stay. However, if you make a mistake and need to take a label off, it will come off without tearing wrap.

COMMENTS: I bought these to help protect my products and extend shelf life. They work for my smaller bars of soap but are not big enough for most of my soap which is 5.5-6.0 bars and they are also too small for jumbo bath fizzies. However, they work well, I just need to get a bigger size.

COMMENTS: I mostly use these to wrap m&p soap and bath fizzies but really they can be used for anything. I have a crafters type heat gun, and a couple quick zaps, and they shrink right up. This is a good size for bar soaps!

COMMENTS: I use these shrink wrap bags to package single soap bars. They offer protection plus high visibility to my products. I prefer these see-thru bags (than the boxes I sometimes use) because I can really show off my beautifully swirled soaps with style! Easy to use and cost effective. COMMENTS: I make some very hefty soaps and these bags work fantastically to professionally wrap them. They also work great to package two smaller (same kind) soaps together. I use a heat gun on a low setting and have no issues with the bags breaking. I highly recommend these and will be purchasing many more to protect the larger bars
