Package: 2 lb Tray Melt Point: 120-125º F.

This product conforms to the reporting requirements of California Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) and are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):

Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

"I got this soap and couldn't unmold it from the container it came in. I had to cut it up in the 2# container. Then I had to PRY the little soap squares out. It was very sticky and rubbery. I melted it and then couldn't get it unmolded. I finally pried this out, but the soap was extremely "bendy" and rubbery and sticky to the touch. Please tell me what to do. This has never happened to me before. ( It used to plop out of the container with a little pressure.) Thank you, mashelle"

"Any time I add FO to this base it turns cloudy even if the fragrance oil is clear. Is there another product I need to add to keep the soap clear? Or do they all need to be unscented? I want to make clear embed soap but I'm not having much luck. I purchase the 24lb blocks, cut it up, and store about 5 lbs in airtight containers. All the other soap bases I have do fine, but this one grew crystals (feels like salt when rubbed). Any idea what happened?"

"I purchased 24 pounds of this soap after reading the q&a's and the reviews to use for soap with embeds. Yesterdays I started work on some eraser embedded soaps for my grandsons classroom. I melted slow and did not add any fragrance just a touch of glitter. The soaps all came out cloudy. You can barely see the erasers. Is there something different I should be doing? I know fragrance and overheating can do this but I am melting slow and stirring until the last bit of soap is melted."

Staff Answer All three of these bases are very clear. The Crystal Clear has no tint which makes it ideal for embeds that have print you want your customers to read through the soap. If you are making colored embeds for loaves and bars, the extra clear is perfect.

I have tried all of them, and the Crystal Clear is the absolute most clear with no tint to it at all. If you need the extra clarity it is well worth it! But, unless your embed is extremely detailed (or has small text on an embed paper) the extra clear is fine.

"Great results by working fast paced"

COMMENTS: I really like to use this to make designs on the top of my soaps, but I have to say you have to work fast with it since it dries super quick for me, but im guessing its because my place gets kinda chilly. Be very cautious, since it can get really hot.

COMMENTS: Tried this melt and pour for the first time. Love the ease of use mightily compared to other brands I have tried. My favorite project is the ocean waters layer I used it in but also the soap popsicles with embeds. I made a margarita lime with lime slice embeds and white diced m&p for salt! Love this soap!

"Great clear base for embeds"

COMMENTS: I am always a tiny bit disappointed in the clarity of clear bases with my M&P projects. I do hand cut detailed monogram embeds and clarity will make or break the entire project. This base worked well, though I still wish I could find an absolute CLEAR (like, invisible!) base for this project. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic. This is GREAT for standard embeds, kids soaps, ice cube embeds, etc. I am still searching for something on another level of clarity for my wedding monogrammed soap favored. I will continue to purchase this product.

COMMENTS: As a newbie I had some m&p from somewhere else first and it was wet through the whole time. Always water sitting on it in little droplets. It made me decide not to do m&p and I changed to cold process instead. However, there are many times ive found that m&p is needed, embeds, decorations etc. I had another product from here which was good so I ordered m&p from here to see if it was different from my previous experience. Oh yes !! from here it is wonderful. Not wet through all the time, nice and clear and a pleasure to deal with. I will always order from here from now on. Highly recommend this product.

COMMENTS: That's the best word to describe this product. It is the clearest product I have seen! I live by the ocean and this product has not sweat one drop!! The only downside is that a lot of customers want an SLS free product but if that does not bother you (which it doesn't bother me) then you will be very happy with this.

COMMENTS: Out of all the clear soaps I have purchased from various sources, I will say that this is by far the CLEAREST soap I have come across and with virtually no odor. I cannot say enough good about it and, as I type, I am using it in my Watermelon bars. That, combined with the Red Oxide pigment provided me with a fantastic, realistic looking "watermelon".

COMMENTS: First time ever using melt and pour soap and I am hooked! I use this to make decorations for my CP soap.. remember do NOT gel your CP soap if you plan on using MP for decorations! I cannot comment on the clearness of the soap, because I used micas to color it. It does have an odor, but did not compete with the fragrance. Very happy with the turnout, will try other MP soaps to compare!

"Terrific"

COMMENTS: This soap is beautifully clear and takes both scent and color well. I've showed soaps made with this base next to soaps made with a cheaper clear base and there is a distinct difference. This base just shines. Looks beautiful when used with sparkle colorants.

COMMENTS: True to its description, this soap base is crystal clear and very easy to use. I use it mostly in embed soaps and it works perfectly. It holds fragrance well and is easy to unmold. Just remember that if you are using a vanilla based fragrance that you need the vanilla color stabilizer or your finished product won't be clear! I forgot once and a wonderful soap was ruined! Will definitely buy again and again!

COMMENTS: I used this for "fish in a bag" soap and the crystal clear formula makes the fish show up much better than any other clear formula I've used. I love the clarity of this base, it's wonderful for embeds and it un-molds very easily. The price is great and I love that you provide free shipping for orders over a specified amount. That really helps when ordering soap bases. The only wish I have is that you made a detergent free crystal clear formula. I love your customer service and the quality of your products.

COMMENTS: A must have for many products! I have used this crystal clear soap in Fish in a Bag (recipe) and Pamper Me Pedicure (recipe) along with several others. It doesn't get any clearer than this! Produces very clear when used alone and bright, vibrant colors when used with soap color bars or liquids. I have found though, placing this in the refrigerator to cool can cause cloudiness, but stay away from the fridge and you'll be good to go!

"BEST clear soap in the business!"

COMMENTS: This soap truly is crystal clear! It is perfect for making fish soaps and other embed soaps where clarity is a must! My only caution to users would be to make sure you use a clear fragrance oil. Anything with a yellow tint will have an effect on the soap's final color. The crystal clear soap is also a slight bit softer than the other MP bases from WSP but the clarity is worth it!

COMMENTS: I love this soap, I have not yet tried to embed in it but just by looking at it I can see it is much more clear then the other soap I bought. My previous supplier sold their soap in large bags with lots of mix matching pieces, so I had to tape the bag closed once I opened to to keep it air tight. WSSP sells theirs in clap packs! These are GREAT! So nice and organized and you can close them up when you are done. Also they are measured into 2 lbs blocks then divided into 4 sections so you can tell about how much soap you have left with out having to weigh it.
